rook has had a rough upbringing as a street-cat. he’s rather gruff and well matured for his age - to the degree that he’d rather the company of older cats to those his own age. he’s survived many a rough nights and often feels that the collective safety that etherclan gives him is like heaven compared to the streets. he’d never say that out loud, of course. he tends to keep to himself, finding ways to stay out of trouble’s grasp while also keeping an ear out whatever gossip might come his way. despite his rather grumpy disposition, he’s a truly caring soul - which lead him to the healer apprentice role. he’s seen horrors surviving on the streets: many a wounded cat that he feels as though he has failed by being unable to lend a paw. this is what inspires rook in the long term - and though his tongue may be sharp-witted and bitter at times, he has the gentlest paw to those that need his help.
rook is a talented healer for his age and truly puts his heart and soul in his devotion to healing. however, his bedside manner are lacking. his words can be quite stinging before he even noticed what he’s said - which is something he’s working on through trial and error.
