Tsuu is a spunky guy who wants to be protected by a strong woman. He enjoys bickering with his partner, Chiwa, and teases her a lot. He also likes messing with people and playing small pranks on his peers. Despite being irritating, Tsuu cares deeply for his coworkers and treats them like family. He also has a strong sense of justice and wants to protect the weak. He usually gets flustered when his joking facade gets seen through, and when people point out that he actually values his fellow detectives greatly.

Siblings

Tsuu is from the sea realm called Emmare. He resided in a small village with his single mom and twin younger brother, Jun. His village valued tradition and was very religious. Tsuu felt out of place in such a uptight place. He often went against the rules and restrictions in the overbearing village. Jun was always better behaved twin and the village elders favored him because of this. Although Tsuu and Jun were basically the opposite sides of the same coin, the siblings got along extremely well. While Jun would help Tsuu get out of trouble with the elders, Tsuu always defended Jun from local bullies. Ever since he was young, Tsuu developed a strong senes of justice. He would always rant about how he was going to become the hero of the town. Jun looked up to his brother and promised to support Tsuu's dream.

Ceremony

Peace did not last long for the twins as the per-decade sacrificial ceremony was approaching. The villagers believe that sacrificing one of the young teenage males to their deity will give them a decade long worth of harvest and wealth. Jun became nervous, fearing that either him or Tsuu was going to get chosen. Tsuu would reassure Jun that he would protect him if anything happens. The two, along with a group of teenage boys from the village, headed towards the altar. Sitting in a room only lit by a couple of candles, the sacrifice was decided to be Tsuu. Jun quietly sat in shock and terror. Unable to accept the elder's choice, Tsuu immediately tried to turn and run. The elders subdued him and said that this was the choice made by the deity, not them. The village imprisoned Tsuu in a temple in the mountains to prepare for the ceremony.

Sacrifice

Just hours before the ceremony was supposed to take place, Tsuu heard a knock on the temple's window. It was Jun who managed to sneak past the guards in front. Jun, dressed identical to Tsuu, urges his brother to open the window from the inside. The siblings reunite after days of separation. Although both were overjoyed to see each other, Jun quickly forces Tsuu into a closet and traps him inside. Jun explains that running would be impossible since the elders will just catch up to them. The only method Jun can think of is to switch places with Tsuu to ensure Tsuu's survival. Jun tells Tsuu that since Tsuu has always protected him, it's his turn to return the favor. Tsuu tries to persuade Jun to let him out, but the elders come in and take "Tsuu" away for the sacrificial ceremony. Tsuu attempts to yell for them to stop, but it was too late and the elders were already gone.
