Posting a message I sent to my friend, a tiny blurb on how her and her sister came to be. Don't want to forget it or have it get lost. PLEASE IGNORE THE AWFUL WRITING. IT WAS JUST A CASUAL BLURB I SENT TO A FRIEND.

They come from an ancient tribe, very small, very unknown, lost to history kind of thing. They were orphans, appeared in the tribe one day as two infants, Aash was 1 year old, and Fah was just a literal newborn. Thankfully, though sadly, one of the women in the tribe lost her infant to disease and was able to take the sisters in. <3
Fah used to have long dark brown hair, green eyes, darker skin, and was a lot more vibrant than she is now. Aash (when she is done, she will have pastel pink hair that fades down to pastel purple, very galaxy shifting, star like. She may or may not have a few tattoos idk yet, and she's all around going to have a very powerful appearance, but also a "flaunt it if ya got it" kinda vibe.) before, used to also have long dark brown hair, though her eyes used to be brown and her skin tone was always a little lighter than Fah's, makin it weird to see them as sisters. Aash was always more outgoing, Fah a little shy and reserved, but always wise. They were each given spirit animals and names, based on how they grew up, like everyone in the tribe. Aash was called lobo or little wolf, and Fah was called Raven or gentle raven. They were inseparable.
The tribe worshiped an ancient forest god, who they thought was good. But readings got crossed and the god was actually quite evil and a trickster, he played with people's lives and stole their afterlives (He stole their lives, the past, present, and future. They were to never be reborn again, they were never to be remembered in the past, and their present is erased. They are his treasures forever. He actually ate the god that the tribe thought they were worshipping.)
There was a forest that is sacred to the ancient god, or so they thought, and it used to be when the real one resided there. But when the evil one took over, it became a terrible place, something inescapable.
Aash had started to fall ill, and she was unable to recover, growing weaker everday. So with what little strength she had left, she and Fah ventured into the forest to beg the god for help. They were unable to leave. Finding a cave, Aash began to die.
The god took that as an opportunity to make some deals. He approached Fah first and asked her if she would like to know what would become of her sister, to always be one step ahead of fate and destiny, to see and change what was and will be.
The last line stuck with her and she said yes, hoping to find a way to save her sister, thankful for the god's "gift".
He gave her a white, glowing lotus, which he instructed her to eat. When she did, she saw everything, how they came to the tribe, how they came to their new family, what happened to their old families, and her body changed. Her body went through such a shock that her hair went white and straight, her eyes went white and lost their pupils, her skin whitened, etc. And she fell into a death like stasis herself.
So the god, playing his cards right, went to Aash, who was literally trying to pull herself over to her sister to protect her (as big sisters do), and offered her a deal. At first Aash resisted. For as crazy and sassy as she might have always been, as much of a rebel, she's always been extremely smart and knew he was evil.
But when he offered her the strength to save not only herself, but her sister, for as long as they live, to save them both, she took it, figuring she could keep Fah safe from him by sacrificing herself and her life. It turned her into the beast master, her ears are all long and beastile now, her pupils turned into slits, her eyes unnatural, very sharp features, wings sprouted from her head and back, and she could speak to all creatures, animal or mythical. She got the strength and was able to save herself, but had to barter for Fah's life. He promised her the strength to protect her, but not to bring her out of her death stasis situation. So, after hearing the demon's story, how he stole the forest from the god, she made a plan. She killed herself.
when he took her life, she found herself in another plane, created by the demon for his "treasures", with her new strengths he promised her, she was able to find the old god, persuading him to use his own magic to resurrect Fah. He didn't have the strength, he would need to break out to do so, but he did not have the strength. So again, Aash gave her strength to the god, leaving her with nothing. The god was moved by her efforts, and took her life into his own and broke them both out. The good god then was able to revive them both, still with their new found bodies and powers, and was able to chase the evil out. So the god was returned to their rightful place, and the sisters were saved. But the tribe wouldn't believe them and refused to take them back after they had changed so much and had entered the forbidden woods. They cast them out, they were going to sacrifice them to an altar, an apology to the god. The lives of the mortals who ruined the forest, who tainted it.
Their foster mother, these two girls were all she had ever had. She had more love for them than anything in the world. She loved them from the first moment she saw them, recognizing their greatness while others were weary of them and where they had come from. She knew they were special, so when she heard of what would become of her daughters, she didn't hesitate. She broke into the holding cells and freed them, took them by the hands and ran into the woods again with them in tow. With the woods returned to their blessed state, it was easy to find sanctuary. But the mother wasn't so lucky, the tribe found her and sacrificed her instead, in the middle of the woods while the sisters and (unknowingly) the forest god watched. The mother didn't fight, knowing that if she did, her daughters would be found. She let it happen, thankful she was able to save her precious little babies.
The god, outraged and confused by the tribe's actions, he sent them to an empty piece of land, dead, still recovering from the touch of evil and turned them all to trees. it become a beautiful grove, the god figured if they had been ugly in their limited mortal lives, they would be beautiful and life giving in their new immortal lives. They would give to the world instead of take from it. Became a sacred piece of land.
