When he was 7 his family would immigrate to New Zealand after his father landed a promotion. Other then that Tajs childhood was very normal. He spent most of his youth drawing or creating music, as those were always his passions. In high school Taj would meet Ishmael and they became very close friends. Together with Ishmaels cousin Alucard they started a small garage band and played around the town. In the band was Taylor Hohepa and her younger sister who tagged along. When Taylor left the band her sister Velouria stayed and eventually became lead singer. With this line up they released their first album when Taj was 19 years old. Velvit Venim was a mixture of nu-metal, avant-guard metal, alternative rock, and punk rock with Taj being the main producer for most songs. Taj was always the creative director in the band by choosing its name and creating the artwork of all the album covers. Despite this his contributions were always minimized by Alucard and Velouria. As the years went on his frustrations grew and when Ishmael decided to walk out on the band in the middle of a world tour Taj joined him. Following the break up of the band Taj would work on solo projects and released 2 albums on his own. He would also marry his girlfriend, but this marriage would only last 4 years. After the divorce he move in with Ishmael and the two still live together. The two have stayed very close friends throughout everything. Taj currently works as a producer and works with many alternative and metal bands. He does not plan on releasing any music on his own and prefers working with others on their projects.
