Species: Slugcat/Snail hybrid

Profile: A curious mix between slugcat and snail, The Hammer is capable of emitting a powerful pop using a snapping mechanism inside her shell-tail. While this stuns enemies around it, it also leaves The Hammer incapable of moving for a moment, allowing any creature not stunned to snatch her up. While she is capable of climbing on background structures, her limbs are rather stubby and make things difficult for The Hammer to travel quickly. The Hammer is capable of breathing underwater if needed, making her rather well-suited for aquatic environments. 

Personality: Being rather young, The Hammer is naive and curious. Although she has the innate understanding of how dangerous the world around her is, she still can't help but want to explore it all. She seems to especially be fascinated by scavengers, as they seem to subconsciously remind The Hammer of the ancients that carefully nurtured her bloodline many generations ago. At the end of the day, however, The Hammer is still a lonely pup, and she'll become attached to just about anyone that shows any sign of affection to her, be it scavenger, slugcat or otherwise. 

Other:

• The Hammer's name is based on a specific headcanon of mine that snails use a similar mechanism to that of the Pistol Shrimp. The Pistol Shrimp creates the powerful sound waves by pulling back and releasing "hammer" claw part, hence the name The Hammer.
