A competitive (whilst self-deprecative) and brave lad born and raised in Malibu, who’s currently living in a much chillier area and is perpetually homesick for the beach. He’s very sporty and mostly plays volleyball and tennis; he loves to surf above anything else of course. “Casual” smoker.
Aphricaude is quite ambitious and will act on bursts of creativity or sheer impulse. Sometimes lets his ambition get the best of him and takes things too far with himself, and as such is heavily critical of himself for doing so. Very competitive (mostly with himself) but makes sure it’s mostly in a lighthearted and mellow manner! He knows his borders and boundaries with others and would never do something with true malicious intent, but can be brutally honest as a way of showing his care. Always seen pretty cheerful and considerate, which are traits he inherited from his grandfather, no doubt.
He’s actually pretty introverted but sociable, and a great listener overall. Has some pretty genius ideas sometimes, but doesn’t really speak out unless asked for his advice. He forgives people easily and doesn’t really hold any grudges, just stays away from those who hurt him. A love language of his is gift giving; he enjoys making or finding little things and giving them to people as a symbol of gratitude.
Has some self-trust issues that’s linked with his impulsivity, genuinely believes he doesn’t deserve love :(

- his name can be pronounced with a strong “pri” like apricot or a soft “ph” like aphrodite - he doesn’t mind either and uses them interchangeably himself as well
- has a really sharp nose (not quite dog-like but it’s getting there) and uses it to smell good food mainly
- he’s vegan (pretty much all my OCs are!); very much has an aversion to sport fishing/hunting and gets especially queasy when he sees people eat fish
- slow eater tbh and is very sensitive to hot foods
- loves pearl barley, peas and edamame, sweet corn
- his favourite food is spicy pickled pineapple
- ”casual” smoker who’s now lowkey addicted to nicotine (often has an urge to smoke until he’s very lightheaded to start the day off), doesn’t really intend to quit even though he’ll assure you he can quit anytime
- smokes indoors out of the reach of smoke detectors if it’s too cold outside
- naturally gets along really well with sheep and other deer/antelopes
- has great eyesight and can see really well in the dark (not superpowers but natural adaptation from his pupils)
- doesn’t really have a workout routine nor does he workout often, just plays a lot of sports and prefers jogging everywhere; his job is also often physical
- literally has a video game protagonist mindset… light jog everywhere, interact with everything, abuse stimulants
- habitual gestures: fiddles with his fingers/hands a lot, running his thumbs over his finger scars, emotes a lot when he’s happy (motioning his hands in front of him and gesturing to things), jumps around on the spot when cold
- great surfer, but insists he’s terrible at other board sports - very insistent on never getting good at snowboarding because he loathes the cold
- doesn’t like confined spaces or rigid routines, and can get restless if he has to stay in one place for too long

- his fish tail doesn’t actually help him with swimming lol, they’re too short
- thick, bushy eyebrows

- tall, vaguely muscular body type; he’s 6’2” (~188cm tall)
- wispy, kind of thin, kind of messy/tousled hair; one section of his front locks is naturally a darker brown
- set of arched horns that peek out under his hat
- always seen wearing a chullo hat, aviator hat, or beanie(in that order of preference). might replace those with a runner cap or sun hat in warmer settings. his hair without his hat is super frizzy and messy
- dark freckles scattered around body; freckles are primarily on the right side of his face
- noticeably reddish scar on his left cheek, and several on the backs of his fingers on both hands
- long, kinda naturally sharp nails, usually painted black but can also be left unpainted; occassionally paints his hooves to match
- short fish tail; it is usually stationary and doesn’t really move around much
- definitely wears jean shorts
his insides,,,, look exactly like ahi tuna. he’s capable of bleeding, but won’t bleed a lot/for a long time. because of the colouring under his skin, his scars tend to appear more recent than they actually are.
he has 7 pairs of pearls on his body. they’re mostly triangular in shape and resemble shark teeth - most noticeably among the ones coming out of his collarbone that mimic a shark tooth “necklace”! they don’t have any nerve endings and they can be removed which does not cause harm, and will grow back in a couple month’s time.

Aphricaude is Slavic-American. He was raised in the waters of Malibu, California for the majority of his childhood/adolescence. He lived in a comfortable surf shack with his parents and his paternal grandfather.

Currently taking up a job at a HVAC (heat, ventilation, and air conditioning) company, mostly doing “background work” in online/over the phone customer service, but also works as a technician.

Lives by himself in a single bedroom apartment with a small balcony (that he will never hang out in because it’s too cold and windy outside 😭). His area is quite populated so he’s not that lonely, but the climate is unpredictable and often cold, foggy and windy. He doesn’t mind the humidity, though.
