They're a little familiar to a witch, a little blew and cheerful bugger that brings some light into the worst of days for the witch. 

The day they were bound to the witch was one of fate, where she had been having a rough patch and been unable to find a familiar that was willing to contract with her. She was on the verge of giving up when this little one, a tiny baby at the time, tugged on her dress and the two bonded right away.
