Β  Β  Β  The day Charlotte opened her eyes sealed her fate for the rest of her life. Charlotte was never destined to be ordinary. Charlotte was born to Azar Clan king, Richard Azar, and his wife Caley Lemures who happened to be one of the daughters of Kalhi. While Caley was a daughter of Kalhi, she didn't have what Charlotte had: the eyes of the mother. Charlotte was a special child. With the eyes of the mother, it wasn't clear whether Charlotte was blessed or cursed. One thing was for sure however, since she was the first Lemures to be born with the eyes of Kalhi, something was coming. History showed that whatever that was, wasn't good. Richard was terrified. The birth of his daughter would symbolize catastrophe. It had the potential to put the world at danger. Adding on to this, Charlotte would be in danger her whole life. People would want her dead. Caley however argued that the birth of Charlotte was a blessing, the fact that her daughter had the eyes of the mother, it meant the Lemures Clan had birthed its first full-blooded daughter in over two-hundred years. Charlotte could hopefully lead the clan and its daughters to the prosperity and power that the Lemures held all those years ago. People nowadays didn't take the Lemures clan seriously. Sure, they could "hear" the dead, but they couldn't speak back, see them, feel them, nor get the advice from the spirits as the Lemures used to so long ago. Plus, due to all the catastrophe a full-blooded daughter could cause, the people in the world were happy that the Lemures had turned into a joke. That the Lemures turned into myth more than fact.42882107_5jMQd4jOS57VzBX.png

Β  Β  Β This abnormality showed at an extremely young age for Charlotte. Babbling and giggling in her crib to things that weren't there, being calmed down in the middle of the night when her parents hadn't came to cater to her, grabbing at things that weren't there, laughing at people who weren't in the room, among many other odd things. Caley was pleased at this, while Richard was understandably creeped out. Caley would always make an effort to further her daughters abilities, doing things that Richard wouldn't agree with. The most constant of which was placing Charlotte in rooms by herself for extended periods of time, Caley argued that the spirits would nurse their daughter, but Richard saw it as cruel. This would cause constant arguments in the household. Cyril, however, was infatuated with Charlotte. The fact that his sister was some ghost-human hybrid wasn't the part that interested him- but it sure helped. He was in love with the fact he was now a big brother. His father cautioned to stay away from the girl, Cyril didn't oblige. He would constantly talk and play with Charlotte. Richard hated it, and due to Cyril's interest in Charlotte, Richard began to resent Charlotte thoroughly. Upset that she would "corrupt" his "only normal child". It enraged Caley that Richard would say this, causing more constant uproar in the household. Charlotte grew up in constant argument.

Β  Β  Β Charlotte was brilliant in school, passing with flying colors. She didn't need to study, and if she was struggling, the spirits told her the answers. It became a crutch for her. Charlotte became very dependent, having to run anything past these spirits. She became more of a vessel of the spirits rather then her own person. Submitting to what they wanted and finding it very hard to think for herself. Charlotte didn't have many friends, because she insisted that her supernatural peers were enough for her. Plus, many children found her odd, not wanting to talk to her in the first place. It was no secret who she was. Once people saw that Charlotte actually could talk to the dead, that the Lemures had a new heir... It scared them. Parents warned their children not to talk to Charlotte. Needless to say, Charlottes social life was out of the window. Since she was having such a hard time in school, her parents opted to homeschool her. Charlotte was thirteen when they made this decision. Ultimately, it pushed her to be alone more then she already was.Β

Β  Β  During this time of lonesomeness, Charlotte felt compelled to odd things. Arranging her mothers tarot decks in odd ways, rearranging board pieces into strange patterns, leaving her television on the static channel, staring blankly for hours. It was absurd, creepy things. She was approached by new spirits every once and a while... But she could tell this one had never lived. It never breathed, it carried itself with power andΒ prestige.Β Charlotte was compelled by this power, and being young and naive wanted to pursue her curiosity and see what this powerful presence was. After a week or so of trying to communicate, it seemed like all hope was lost. Until one night, she woke her family with terribleΒ squealingΒ and fighting, protest came their way when any of them came to aid her. Her brother, Cyril, was terrified of this. It caused him to be distant of Charlotte. The next day had came, Charlotte had screamed until her vocal cords were strained and her throat was sore. There was something different about her. She carried herself like she had aged over that one night. Her family grew concerned about her, but the Lemures knew what this had meant for their heir: she had been contacted by their mother, Khalida. Charlotte was evenΒ more-soΒ distant at this point.Β

Β  Β  Β Charlotte learned to regret this distance she had created when faced with the death of her father. He had been murdered by axe- Caley being the one to find him. People in the Azar clan started to beΒ suspiciousΒ that Caley had killed Richard. It was no secret about the disagreements they had, and it made perfect sense to get rid of him since they'd already had a past of these disagreements- and the fact that Caley would inherit his mass wealth and clan. Cyril had started to come around more when faced with the death of their father. He was there to comfort Charlotte, and apologized to her for never being with her. Saying that their fathers murder had opened his eyes, showing that life was short. Cyril had also begun bringing a girl around- Elane. Charlotte was deeply jealous of Elane. Elane seemed to be everything Charlotte wanted to be- a party girl with too many friends to count, ditzy and cute.Β

Β  Β  Β Charlotte had begun feeling a deep depression. Even more people ignored her, as she'd apparently brought this misfortune to the Azars. Charlotte was previously accustomed to this loneliness. Her mother was the only person who would come close to her. Conversations would seize when Charlotte walked by, to her dismay every ill word spoke about her was delivered to her by a spirit. Whispers of what a "freak" the people of the Clan thought Charlotte was. Whenever she'd sleep, she'd be summoned by the powerful spirit. On her fourteenth birthday, Khalida introduced herself. Khalida was nurturing to Charlotte, a good mother. Not one that locked her in rooms, or freakishly worshiped her. When Khalida was first called Charlotte her daughter- Charlotte was confused. She'd never heard of Khalida other then out of religion of her mother- but her father found it psychotic and raised her in Azar faith rather then in the Lemures.Β She seemed to understand her, and soothed her of this discrimination. "They don't understand how extraordinary you are, daughter." She'd soothe, "The world is too small of a place for my daughter.".Β  Β  Β

Β  Β  Β  The Clan however was growing uneasy. There was a murderer among them. Growing restless a group decided that Caley had to die. In the middle of the night, Caley was assassinated. Charlotte was the one to find her. She was truly out of people in this world, and had no one else to turn to. Her family was dead, other then her brother who she was convinced hated her, her town hated her, and she was seen as a freak no matter where she turned.Β This was what broke her. Charlotte decided to go to Khalias realm, with the promised power, Charlotte could make all of them pay for killing her mother. The only catch was that to do so Charlotte had to die. Charlotte became extremely sick, no one could figure out what was wrong with her. Charlotte died when she was 15 years old.

Β  Β  Β Β Charlotte at first glance is very timid and shy. Not saying anything, and won't willingly talk. When you do talk to her, she usually responds with a nod or a glance. She is very non-verbal, as she is afraid of being judged or criticized.Β  Charlotte is very meek, not complaining or ever putting up a fight to anything anyone is. She usually just complies without a word. She is seen with crossed arms, or hugging herself to cover her body and comfort herself. However, though she doesn't express it, Charlotte does have a sharp temperment, and is not very forgiving. If something is said to her, she remembers it and how it made her feel, no matter how little the comment. Charlotte is terrible for holding grudges- and even worse, she is very spiteful and constantly seeks revenge if she’s capable of it.

Once you get her to talk she becomes a different person. When she opens up to people, she becomes very loyal and protective of them, wanting nothing but their happiness. She isn't much on gossip and stays away from it. She doesn't like to judge people until she's met them, and isn't easily influenced by the sayings of others. The only way she is, is if said person tells her something directly.Β Charlotte is very pure of heart, though she doesn't believe in second chances, it takes her a lot to realize she is being wronged by someone she is close to, however she can spot it quickly in people she doesn't know.
