Profile

Long ago there was an ancient religion, celebrating a goddess who was long dead. Cui/Sai was born and raised as a priestess in this world and was one of the many leaders of the Eye. This prompted many evil spirits to target her, though none could get past her, she was an unstoppable force with power enough to blind those of evil however, this was to change. At one point, a man had joined her nearby shrine, claiming to be a practitioner in the west having journeyed from afar. Though she couldn't help be be suspicious, his appearance and story made sense so she allowed him to stay. This was a mistake that she would come to regret.

No spirits in this world can necessarily be destroyed by man, only fade away over time, and so the way the Eye priestesses learned was to trap them in a pocket world to fade away, giving the good spirits of this world a humble way to enjoy some sort of afterlife. Though, the mysterious man had taken advantage of this, and after three years of gaining trust and rising in rank, accused Sai of being possessed by a spirit and framing her for murder. Though no one now knows his true goal, he might have done this all just to see someone suffer as other spirits have. She was chained into a pocket dimension, which had never been done to a living being before, but with the severity, they took a chance and sealed her inside the domain, forever.

Hundreds of years past, Sai having escaped the chains as she wandered the small pocket dimension, now realizing she had the power to change the domain itself to her liking, even if it was just her prison. She slowly changed the domain, making a replica of all she had held dear, her hometown, now desolate and empty for no spirits were trapped besides her own. Though life wasn't lonely, as spirits suddenly began to leak in, perhaps the priestesses had finally decided to set her free, but she was wrong, as they only trapped other spirits inside.

Little did she know she priestesses had been long dead, she was the only living practicioner, and her domain was like a trap that many spirits stumbled into, and like her, could not leave once trapped. As she saw more and more spirits populate her world and then try and escape, her loneliness pushed her to chain them and trap them even further, fearing going back to the silence that she had for what seemed like months (when in reality, was centuries.).

The sleepy town was quiet and windy, twinkling bells casting soft glows of yellow and the light of the everlasting moon luminous and blue.
