Not a botanist. So, when she was finally of age she gathered up enough money to finally move and cut off all contact with her family. She wanted to go to the land of the free, where she could be whatever she wanted. Where she could go into botany. She didn't expect to run out of money so quickly. She ended up on the streets, unable to go home and unable to go into work. She was desperate for a way out, a way that she could become what she wanted to. That's exactly what (placeholder) offered her when they found her. A way to become known, to be able to go to school. A steady income, even!
Juliette accepted without a second thought, unknowingly becoming a prostitute for the largest crime lord in the city, perhaps ever. She was never able to completely rise in ranks, getting the bottom barrel bunch. She ended up turning to painkillers and drugs to ease her sadness, even going so far as to change her own personality to try to mend her emotional wounds! Yet she still prays that she will be able to have her future.
