FORM PMR-1014B: Behavioral information of dittech holder.

Personality

Blasé - Cunning - Laid-back - Well-intentioned

At a glance, Santana is a lackadaisical, lazy man who would sooner sleep through an earthquake than flee for his life. He has an attitude and a rebellious streak, but if you're lucky, he'll listen to about 50% of any instructions given. Anything past that goes in one ear and out the other. He strives for mediocrity beyond comparison, allowing others the chance to shine.

See, Santana found that the lower others' expectations for him are, the easier it is to skate by. He's smarter than he lets on and has a penchant for mental gymnastics and manipulation, but it's well-intentioned. He cares for others and genuinely wants to do right by them. Provided he's sufficiently entertained, of course.

He makes his own fun through mischief and schadenfreude. Still, he'll always be there to lend a hand to a friend in need-- often to the point where his timing becomes suspiciously convenient. He couldn't have possibly planned that far ahead, though.

...Right?

FORM PMR-1014C: History known of dittech holder.

Background

Origin

The second son of a Hydreigon line born and bred to serve Team Flare, Santana was shunted off to a no-name grunt moments after his hatching. Unlike many of their fellows, the grunt wasn't explicitly cut out for crime. They were softer than most, and Santana spent his childhood eating poffins as opposed to battling.

His trainer continued to bumble their way through the criminal underworld until the fall of Team Flare was upon them-- literally. They were caught in the collapse of the HQ and, knowing there was no way they could possibly escape in time, set their Pokemon free so they might survive.

Santana was left alone after that. He made his way through Kalos, listless without the bright-eyed (and admittedly very stupid) trainer he knew and loved. Eventually, he came upon Amie Isle, where the next chapter of his life began.

Turning Point

A LvL-Co distributor found the then-scraggly Deino wandering Amie Isle and offered him a dittech. In exchange, he worked various office jobs for the company, never staying in one place for long. He eventually left LvL-Co to join a detective agency where he felt he could better aid the various Pokehumans across Kalos.

Presently

Santana works alongside Byrne in their detective agency, acting as their airheaded assistant. Despite being the more competent of the two, he prefers to let Byrne take the credit for most (if not all) of their investigations, but it's not without reason. Santana wants to boost his ego. He wants Byrne's hubris to overshadow the sun, and he wants to be there to witness every colossal mistake the man makes thereafter. For some reason, this is how he stays entertained-- gassing up his boss just to watch him ask what color the Pink Poipole is.

It sparks joy.

Déjà Vécu

The heavy scent of ash lingers, and cinders crackle overhead. His feet fall upon broken glass, shattering the silence around him. The air tastes of copper. Copper and smoke.

Though he avoids fighting, it feels wrong. He wants to leap into danger and make his presence known, but for what? He feels no drive to protect nor help another. He wants nothing; needs nothing.

Insatiable, relentless on his warpath, his visage is flanked by two serpentine heads.
