Born to the powerful Xalvein family, Luxor Xalvein has been embroiled in the tight-knit community of the Zilfras mafia families and criminal network since he was old enough to speak. His parents, both holding positions of respect and power in their organization's highest ranks, expected much from him, and from a very young age have been grooming Lux to also take his rightful place by their sides when he proved himself worthy. At the tender age of 25, his parents released him into the bottom ranks of the lowest gangs, and told him they'd be waiting for him at the top.

Lux's sharp wit and sharper tongue quickly found him clawing his way up through the underbelly of the organization, gaining notoriety and followers as he went. By the age of 32, he found himself leading his first gang proper, and quickly earned himself a reputation as a fair but ruthless boss. It was made crystal clear what his expectations were: work for me, obey me, help me, and you would be protected. But go against me and I will crush you. And so he continued to rise, his gang growing in power and reputation as he set his sights for the very height of influence.

Sharp-tongued and quick-witted, Lux is in every way his parent's child. Raised to be a leader and someone who would never hesitate to go for the throat, Lux can be ruthless in his drive to complete his goals and achieve his desires. Even born with a silver spoon in his mouth, he still desires more: power, status, wealth, respect. He demands loyalty from his people and isn't afraid to gain it through an iron fist. A fair one, true, but one that isn't afraid to crush those beneath it if they defy him. Luxor Xalvein was a force to be reckoned with, a patient and contained natural disaster that was willing to bide his time even as he clawed his way to the top and slit the throat of all who stood in his way.

And so it was unfortuante for him, of course, that he accidentally acquired friends. Suddenly, it wasn't just his life on the line, but theirs as well. For the first time in his long life, Lux felt the desire to protect someone besides himself and his parents, and it was an experience that changed him forever. Still as proud, arrogant, and confident as ever, he was nevertheless forced to slow down and evaluate who he was, and what he was doing. His operations, his business, the organization he'd been born into. He was faced with truths that were suddenly uncomfortable where they'd never been before, in the warm light given off by his friends. For awhile, it made him defensive and prickly, but Lux has settled into his role since, and accepted that his values have changed. Not exactly by his choice, but he's willing to if it means he can keep holding onto the bonds he's made with his new family. Still just as irritable when faced with the stupid decisions they make, and feeling exasperated panic when the consequences of those decisions come for them. But, still. Despite how snappish and aggravated he may appear, he will never turn them away or deny them.
