Originally a model for Corsetta Von Darkspire, Bernadette became engaged to her son, Jeeves. After a horrible incident where their house was burned to the ground in the middle of the night, Bernadette was scarred horribly. She took losing her looks very hard, ahe didn't want Jeeves or anyone to see her. There was a lot of anguish that went into getting disfigured before she was finally able to start emotionally healing over that and letting Jeeves back in and not wanting to hide from him.
Bernadette retired as a model for several decades, but after a long time, a lot of healing, and a lot of help from others (especially her husband and mother in law) Bernadette was finally able to make peace enough with herself to start modeling again despite her scars.
