Relationships : Alice

Personality : Stoic, quiet, tired, helpful, aloof, reserved, introverted. Chayyim fancies himself as an ancient protector of all things forest. He's spent so much time alone that seeing other Mothcats can be startling for him. He was never a very vocal cat and that only intensified when his horns sprouted into the large tree branches he has now. Upon seeing other cats in his "sacred areas" he's aggressive 90% of the time. This distrust stems from not always knowing who or what is approaching his territory. He's not incredibly old but his eye sight is not what it used to be. Often times cats can resemble giant insects or other wild creatures that would harm the forest.

Backstory : Years ago, before Aldora was tamed by fairies and Mothcats, there existed other creatures deep within the groves of the island seemingly lost to time. Chayyim was exploring one of these groves when he came into contact with a large glowing seed. The seed had a small sapling sprouting from it and glowed with energy. Curious, Chayyim picked up the seed to examine it. Almost immediately, a giant insect leaped out from the undergrowth to fight him for it. Thinking quickly, Chayyim swung the large seed, knocking the insect away. He turned to look at his prize again and noticed that it was ebbing with rich magical color. The energy he felt before had doubled in intensity. As he was about to leave, another foe appeared to challenge him for the seed. This insect was three times the size of the first and had large gnashing pincers. Chayyim knew he could not defeat this insect so he extended his cherub wings and tried to flee. With a strong push off the ground he leaped into the air to dodge an oncoming attack and search for a way out. A quick scan of the grove revealed a path he might be able to glide through if it was careful and avoided the insect's advances. With a swift motion he dove downward in the direction of the pathway. He seemed free until the insect whipped around and slapped him out of the air with its fore-limbs. Chayyim hit the ground hard with the seed in hand. He looked at the seed wearily, this impact had chipped away another layer of remaining bark to reveal more pulsating energy lines and sparkling glow. In his peripheral vision  he could see the insect advancing on him. He glanced back at the seed as its glow intensified further, mirroring the sun's rays. Chayyim heaved his body upward and onto his paws, seed in hand as it exploded into a vivid display of color and light. He felt oddly relaxed. His body was lighter than air yet he felt a new heaviness on his head. Glancing up revealed thick bark sprouting from his forehead where swirly antenna had been. These antenna continued to sprout until they were fully grown curled trees complete with pink leaves and blossoms. The insect screeched at him, enraged that its target item had been absorbed and accepted so readily. Chayyim merely huffed and stepped toward the charging insect. With one swift motion he dipped his head and stuck the sharp gnarled bark into the insect's abdomen. The bug screeched in pain before retreating into the woods to die. After the ordeal had ended Chayyim sat down in the grove to rest. His mind felt foggy, and a tiny voice barely as loud as a whisper was urging him to stay in the forest to protect it. That day, Chayyim left his old life and relations to serve the forest. Many cats searched for the missing cat, including a mate expecting kittens, but no one could find him. Decades later, after an infestation level event had been silenced by many brave Mothcats, a young girl named Alice chose to venture deeper into the forest. After traversing gorges and overgrown gullies, the young girl found a small intimate well kept grove. She entered the thickets, her small lithe body easily passing through. She gasped as she looked ahead to see a large cherub winged cat with leafy tree branch antenna sleeping in the middle of the grove.
