Geoffrey's Links
Geoffrey loves to nestle down into Wonka's snugly gummy fur and ride the gator around town, occasionally popping his head up to see where they've gotten to. And at night, he curls up on the pillow right next to his friend's head! Sure he misses the candy shop once in a while, but he doesn't have to hide from the counter-man anymore! He also gets to see the world like he's always wanted. And Wonka is perfectly happy to let Geoffrey go around and around on his ceiling fan! It's a wonderful new life, and he loves Wonka with every grain of sugar in his body! Geoffrey demonstrates this by helping the GG find little things he's lost around the house, and by bringing shiny little presents from time to time. Wonka keeps them in a shoe-box with 'FROM GEOFFREY' written on it in crayon, and it makes him immensely proud! His only real regret is leaving Priscilla behind, though he didn't do it on purpose. And he's never given up on trying to get Wonka to go back for her, even though the communication barrier between himself and the Gator makes this hard. Having Priscilla here in his new home would be the only thing that could make his new life better....
Wonka found Geoffrey cowering underneath a cabinet of sweets in the local candy store - they'd only bent down to retrieve a quarter they'd dropped, and they ended up locking eyes with a sentient gummy worm instead. Needless to say, Wonka's jaw dropped! Being made of gummy themself, they immediately felt a kinship with the little worm, and scooped him up before the counterman could see what they had found.
Upon returning to their apartment, Wonka was initially saddened to discover that the little worm was absolutely terrified of them. The first thing Geoffrey did was take off and hide under the couch! They were persistent though, leaving out little dishes of 5% carnauba wax emulsified into grapeseed oil (for him to swim in, so his gummy body would remain supple and soft) and all kinds of odds and ends they imagined that their new house-guest may like to play with (like marbles and toy cars, paperclips and jingle-bells). In this way, slowly but surely, the two began to bond.
Now Wonka rarely goes anywhere without his buddy Geoffrey, and loves waking up every morning to find the worm curled up on their pillow. They truly believe that they were meant to find each other! Wonka even keeps a little box full of the presents Geoffrey has brought them over the years, which he stores on the bookcase next to his bed. It's mostly full of sparkly rocks and broken bits of key-chains, as well as the odd coin and mechanical pencil spring, but it's the THOUGHT that counts, right? And it's better than a dog or cat bringing DEAD things. Eew. *shudders*
Geoffrey was beyond surprised when he first found Priscilla, hiding there behind that jar of Boston-baked Beans... he'd thought he was the only living gummy worm on the planet, yet there she was! Staring right back at him! He backpedaled so fast that nearly fell off the counter, and when he looked back up she was gone. She'd been surprised too, you see, and had taken off. When they next bumped into each other they were more prepared - they struck up a conversation after only a bit of shyness, and Geoffrey was delighted to find that this strange worm was just as curious as he was. It turned out they had a lot of other stuff in common too, and became fast friends! Geoffrey soon proposed that they join forces to make their lives in the candy shop easier and happier. Priscilla agreed to this eagerly, and so it was done! The pair would be adventuring buddies from that point on! At least... until Wonka found Geoffrey and took him home. Geoffrey regrets being separated from Priscilla every day, and will never give up on finding a way to get Wonka to go back for her.
Boston-baked Beans are Prissy's favorite thing to munch, unlike the majority of earth's population, so she'd been hiding around the jar - a nice, quiet, out-of-the-way spot where she could have an abundance of her crunchies without being bothered by the counter-man too often. Imagine her surprise when Geoffrey showed up! She was so surprised, in fact, that she nearly fell off the counter! She didn't though. Instead she headed for the hills, finding shelter under an antique pie-safe in the back of the store. There she did a lot of thinking. And the next time she came across Geoffrey, she was ready! After a lot of talking they found that they had much in common, and as time passed they began to grow close. When Geoffrey asked if she'd like to join forces and combine their separate home-bases into one, she was ecstatic. She'd been alone for so long... but now, she'd curl up with Geoffrey every night and be the happiest she'd ever been! Unfortunately, things were not going to last. Geoffrey was accidentally discovered by a candy shop customer during a normal supply run and spirited away to who knows where. Now Prissy is alone again, and instead of curling up in the den she used to share with her friend and lamenting his loss, she's moved back to her nook by the bean jar. All Geoffrey's stuff is just like he left it. She hopes dearly that he'll come back someday, so they can be together again. But while she waits, Priss is ever practical, and keeps on keeping on like she knows Geoffrey would want her to. It's a big world out there, and there's only so much a tiny little gummy worm can do...
Sunny is still a pretty new face - it hasn't been very long since his big friend Wonka decided to let them move into his flat. So, naturally, Geoffrey is still sounding them out. He likes them pretty well, and they seems super nice! Though the sock puppet they made of him is kinda creepy. And he DOES wish that they'd let him alone more often. They have a bad habit of scooping him up when he's trying to sleep, or play with something, or have a dip in his little pool of 5% carnauba wax emulsified into grapeseed oil. It's kinda annoying.
SO GOSH DANG CUTE!!! IT'S A LIVING GUMMY WORM OMGGG!!! Wonka is so lucky to have found him...
Geoffrey finds the kid's attentions unnerving. They're nice enough, and have never done anything to give him a REAL excuse to mistrust them, but something... in their eyes... *shivers*
Yummy....I mean, nice! Yeah...
Geoffrey wishes this kid would pay more attention to where she was going sometimes, but otherwise he likes her! She's sweet, and frequently takes him along on her kitchen raids to act as a lookout/scout, which he finds incredibly fun. Plus the little faces she draws on her fingers remind him of other gummy worms....
