Lilian Samui

Lilian Samui is a noble, Amédée's young brother and Hortense's young step-brother.

• Lilian is myopic. However, he corrects this default with dwarf technologic, a mask correcting eye depth.
• He has a weakness for frilled collars and bow ties, and collects them.
• He's fascinated by magic, but he's not skilled at all.

• • He's a prodigy at piano although he's unaware. He often plays it when bored.

BACKGROUND :

Lilian Samui is the son of Lord Parven, tutor, and Lady Paulina. He has a brother, Amédée, 8 years his older. His mother dies in labor, while giving him birth. At her death, Samui family suffers from a bad reputation with other nobles : the couple has a huge age gap, and seems pretty cold and distant in public. Rumors are made, saying Parven doesn't satisfy his wife's needs, while Paulina frequently cheats on him with many lovers, adding to financial issues, squandering familial wealth. 

Two months  after Paulina's death, Parven decides to remarry, wishing to give to his sons a maternal figure. He finally meets at a lunch Lady Wana, a widow female companion. After three months of court, they get married.

Lilian grows up in this environment, raised by his step-mother Wana, but also by his step-sister Hortense, 13 years her older. With years passing, he highly respects Wana, considering her as his mother, while he carries an important affection for Hortense, who always plays, hugs and take care of him. 

At 8 years old, his old brother, Amédée, is engaged by his parents to an another noble, Earleen, having the same age than him. The marriage is an excellent news to the family, the bride being from a wealthy family. Nevertheless, some weeks after engagement, it's discovered Amédée had relationships with prostitutes.  Samui family's reputation is ruined by the news. Humiliated, Earleen and her family break off their engagement, and asks monetary compensation for this public humiliation. in progress
