Clyde Starling is a human and a student who attends Silverstone academy. Ranked in the top 5 of his grade in academics and in the top 30s in magic.

Appearance

Clyde is short for his age, with a round shaped face that makes him look quite young for his age. Despite being 3rd year in high school. He has short light brown hair with tuffs of hair between his eyes and often falls infront of his eyes. Which is why he often clips them out of the way. He has big deep blue eyes with short upper lashes.

He has light skin complexion and a triangle build, often hidden by baggy clothes. While also having three piercings on both ears; lobe and two helix piercings. Clyde also has a burn on his wrist from an accident with a pot of boiling water.

The clothes he wears are nothing special, nor notable. Often seen wearing the school uniform; a brick red cord vest with a V-line that's paired with a white plain button up, which poke out from underneath the vest. Often leaving it untucked.

He wears a desaterated blue school cardigan and a matching tie that he stuffs under his vest to keep it out of the way. His uniform forces him to wear formal black slacks. Though he does wear brick red shoes, which don't entirely follow the school's dresscode.

Personality

Clyde is diligent, and spends most of his time lost in his own thoughts. He's often quiet, and keeps to himself. Preferring to keep his head down and stay out of trouble then to get himself involved with the wrong type of people. Making him quite introverted on first appearance.

Being raised by his grandparents from a young age he often does what he can to aid others. And will put the feelings of those around him above his own needs.

He is often perseved as a calm individual, who has never been seen angry. But he will not hesitate to start problems if he feels as though someone he knows is in trouble. And will occassionally start fights in their defence.

when he does get angry Clyde will still remain as calm as he can. Even if he wants to punch someone it wasn't how he was raised. He only throws a punch when another person does it first. But if someone does push him enough all sense goes out the window for him.

Background

Childhood

Clyde's father was the CEO of a magic technology and research company, meaning that he didn't have a lot of time when he saw him. While his mother stayed at home to look after him. But despite this he had a good relationship with both of them and when they had time would often curl up together on the couch to watch Clyde's favourite show or even a movie.

But things don't usually stay as they used to, when he was 9 and while driving to his grandparents' house the family ended up getting into a car accident. Hit by a drunk driver. With Clyde being the only one to survive, despite the injuries he sustained. Though he doesn't know the details of their deaths specifically.

The incident left Clyde with a few broken bones, and partly paralysed though it ended up being temporary in his left leg. He had also sustained great injury to his hand, making his grip weaker then most.

His grandfather and grandmother was the ones to stay with him at the hospital and later brought him home with them, and realised that the death of his parents changed him... Clyde ended up in a wheelchair until he later learned how to walk again, though he cannot do it for long and often tries to stop and sit down if he feels unable to go much longer.

Because of the unexpected death of his parents, and being too young to inherit the company. It was his grandfather who took over, though he wasn't fond of it from what Clyde could recall.

During his recovery cLyde missed out on a lot of school amongst other things, although his grandmother did her best to make sure he didn't feel left out.

Seeing as his grandmother was a great mage, she often helped him with his magic. And even gifted him her old spellbook, although most spells were locked to him until he improved his skills. After that he spent what time he could practising, proclaiming that he would become strong enough to fulfil his duties.

Early Teens

When Clyde was 13 he was finally able to walk again, to the amazment of his grandparents. He had ended up surprising them when they came back to him in the kitchen. Using the countertop to stablise himself. His grandmother had practically shrieked when she saw him up on his feet. Although causing him to burn himself in the process. It has become a bit of a funny memory overtime, despite how she wishes they'd let her forget. Although his grandfather always argued that she'd forget the day he walked again.

Around this time CLyde started to bury himself into his studies, knowing the two always worked hard to raise him. And knowing that it wasn't difficult when they had to tend to him, drive him to appointments and other things. He was grateful for them, but at times he thought he was a burden to them because of what happened.

So he spent what time he could improving his academics

He eventually started school, getting a scholarship that granted him
