Smallish: about 5'6" not including her ears. Thin, and not very strong, but faster than you would think.

Lawful Good (slightly Neutral Good)

Personality

An introverted booklover and a hopeless romantic, Cecilia always has at least one book on hand. She spends a lot of time on her own and is hardly ever at home: Most grems believe her to be an independent grem who lives at her bookshop. It would make sense, because she works two jobs and is always very tired. A night owl who is up all night and exhausted all day, she still somehow manages to be cheerful and kind to others, and incredibly patient with customers... most of the time. She loves coming up with projects to do, but she never has time for them... Cecilia is a total dork and loves trying new things and adventuring, even if its just throughout the city. She has childlike naivety and optimism, although she is easily flustered and blushes a lot. Very emotional, she will often cry is she's angry, upset, happy, tired... and so forth. The poor little gal tends to be nervous around humans and shy around bigger grems.

Likes

books, romance, nighttime, adventures, walks, Boo, hot chocolate, cats, fish, reptiles

Dislikes

loud music, rock/rap, dogs, being an 'owned grem', mornings, coffee. She hates the smell of coffee.

Master

Although she seems very much like an independent grem, Cecilia actually has a master. He is a wealthy businessman who owns a popular coffee shop chain. He's always busy and, like her, rarely spends time at home. Cecilia used to look up to him as a father, trying to work hard to please him, but has lately given up on any relationship between the two other than a boss and his employee. She works as a manager at the main shop. Although she is paid, she dislikes the job and would quit if she wasn't worried that her status as owned grem would keep her from doing that. She also fears that he would instead use her as a personal secretary, which would take away any free time she had.

Occupation

Her main job is working as the manager of one of the Jumping Bean Coffee Shops owned by her master. However, from the payment she receives from her master, she was able to buy her dream: a small bookshop that she runs in her free time. She also can often be found sleeping there...

Hobbies

Reading, daydreaming, sleeping, working (ugh), and running around the city. She dislikes the loud noises and sketchy alleyways, and prefers to travel along the tops of them buildings. In her mind, she feels like an agile shadow, nimbly leaping from rooftop to rooftop each night, but in reality she is more cautious and will usually just sit and watch the city life move on below her.

Common Environments

city, night, small dusty bookstore, coffee shop. If she happens to actually be at her master's penthouse she prefers the library or the roof.

♥ Status ♥

Single | Seeking! She’s not considered “boy crazy” but she gets crushes on grems pretty easily. A hopeless romantic thanks to all those stories she reads <3

Sexuality

Pan, leans heavily towards masculine though.

Boo

Named after a character in one of her favorite classics. Boo ran into her bookstore one day and has simply never left. He strongly dislikes humans and most grems, but he enjoys watching them and observing the world from behind the safety of the large windows in the front of her store. Cecilia loves Boo and is very protective of him. She often calls him her security guard and he is the only other 'employee' at the bookstore, 'working' for food and shelter.

Sale Status

Never for Trade or Sale!

☆ "Cecilia and the Satellite" - Andrew McMahon ☆

History

Her master, Jeoffery Ferrison, was a successful businessman with no time for anyone else. He was rude, blunt, and had very high expectations. He had founded a coffee shop chain called Jumping Bean Coffee, and it grew incredibly popular. However, when his main shop began to suffer from an increased flow of customers, the employees took the blame. There was not enough of them to keep up with the flow of business, and with the way he treated them they would almost always quit within a month or two. A manager of one of the other shops suggested he buy a grem, although she had imagined it to have more of a pet or child role, teaching the man kindness and patience. But in an effort to persuade him, she mentioned that it could help out around the apartment or in the shop, and he grabbed hold of the idea. Invested in the thought of ordering a custom-made manager, he bought a grem.

What would his ideal shop manager need? She would need to be obedient and humble. He was the boss, the owner, and they were just the organizer, a glorified employee. His ideas were the right ideas, his plans for the shop were law. Shop managers needed to follow those orders and requests with no argument. She would need to be patient with the many customers, and be able to be incredibly hardworking because of the lack of employees. He would probably have her work as both the manager and barista. Obedient, humble, hardworking, patient, avoiding arguments. She wouldn't quit because he owned her. Of course, he would pay her, and she would have her own free will and time off work, but her main purpose was her job.

For once in his life, the businessman took time off work for someone else. He was at home when his new grem arrived and he briefly showed her around the penthouse and told her what she needed to do. First day of work would be tomorrow and she would be properly trained. Hopefully within the month she would be competent enough to assume her place as manager.

Thrilled to have a father and amazed at the vast, modern-styled apartment she found herself in, young Cecilia decided she loved her new home. However, once he finished the tour he left her, in the small library, so that he could go work in his home office. This wasn't a holiday, after all. Work could not wait. Cecilia read for a few hours to entertain herself, occasionally creeping to her master's office to tell him about a funny thing she had read or ask the meaning of something she couldn't understand, before shying away at his impatient responses. She worried that he was upset at her lack of understanding of the books and began to study them more earnestly to show him she was smart. Distracted in these different worlds, she found herself up very late into the night before she fell asleep on the couch.

At first, Cecilia loved her job and worked hard, determined once again to show her master how skilled she was, since he always seemed to be disappointed in her. Eventually, though, the days blended together and her job wore on, and through reading in her free time she discovered her true passion. She saved her pay and used it to buy a small bookstore, so that she was able to work with books surrounding her. It also became a home to her; a place where she felt much more safe and comfortable than she did in the emptiness of the apartment, which was filled only by the cold disinterest of her master.

She hopes to one day become an author or her own, but for now she hardly has the time.
