Haze

Haze is a space bug hunter and scientist. She catches rare and dangerous bugs from all over the galaxy to add to her collection and study, or sell for high prices if she already knows all there is to know about them. She has a personal spaceship that she lives in that also functions as a lab and travelling shop, and she's a highly competent pilot. Haze never stays in one place for long, but her dedicated customers know where to find her. A significant portion of them are witches and wizards because many of the bugs she catches have magical properties or are used as ingredients in spells and potions. Some repeat customers are a bit shady, since some of the bugs Haze researches are highly venomous, and said venom is available for purchase if you're loaded and discreet enough. Haze is open to haggling, but will usually stand her ground and manage to convince the buyer that her prices are fair, given that she catches all the bugs herself.

To avoid danger, and because she's so cool and hardcore, Haze has purposefully developed immunity to many insect venoms. Despite this, she has been in perilous and even near-death situations because of her job, but is aware of the risks and would do it again - anything for bug science and exorbitant sums of money. The money that doesn't go into savings, travel, or experimental hi-tech equipment for her cutting-edge analysis is often donated to charity or used to fund others' research. As much as Haze likes being rich, she likes being generous more - though she's saved up a whole lot for an ambitious future project. She doesn't see herself moving on from her current occupation soon, but would someday like to open a museum that summarises and displays her discoveries. While she prefers working alone due to pride for her research and the feeling that no one else shares her passion, she shares her findings with the galactic entomology community and would absolutely like to make them accessible to the public.

Haze loves exploring the wilderness of different planets and moons and really enjoys being able to see so much diversity in nature. That being said, she will go to any lengths to catch a rare bug, even if the terrain surrounding it is inhospitable. She's been inside volcanoes and at the bottoms of oceans. She doesn't have any magical abilties herself, so aid in her bug hunting pursuits, Haze will use magical enhancements: for example, potions for heat resistance, breathing underwater, and communicating with animals. Though, bugs are naturally attracted to her because she's so glowy, which makes her job easier. Haze's favourite bugs are centipede-shaped, but she really likes every kind of bug. The ones she gets attached to she keeps as pets and cares for very well. She thinks they are quite cute. 

Personality-wise, Haze is usually serious and alert because the bug hunting part of her job requires a lot of focus and can be quite dangerous, and she finds it hard to get out of that mentality. She tries to unwind when not working, but finds herself needing stimulation. She even takes a holiday from work every sixth month, but gets antsy and has to occupy herself with exciting activities and travel instead of just relaxing. She really enjoys going to arcades and theme parks, and the quick reaction times she's developed from her job make her extremely good at rhythm games. The music she listens to tends to be fast and electronic because it grips her attention best. She has autism and ADHD.
