Mossyheart

Mossyheart is the medicine cat for Mireclan. She sports an all white coat, with leaves and flowers tangled into her long fur. Upon her face lie scars over her eyes, the source of her blindness.

See, Mossyheart wasn't always a medicine cat. The role was forced into her paws and into her head by the leader of Mireclan, Heronstar. After Mossyheart's forced connection with Starclan, the prophecies and nightmares she had of the Dread Forest became too large of a weight to bear. She attempted to reason with Heronstar, wishing to become a warrior again. Heronstar, seeing how gifted she was at medicine and being manipulated by the Dread Forest, had other plans however.

Heronstar tricked her. He brought her to the front of the clan during a ceremony, acting as if she would be able to return to her previous status. In front of everyone, he blinded her, nearly tearing out her eyes as she screamed in pain. Her friend and fellow medicine cat, Finchhawk, patched her up the best they could, watching Heronstar out of the corner of their eyes as he licked Mossyheart's blood off his paws. Instead of confronting Heronstar, Mireclan sided with their leader, shunning Mossyheart for attempting to go against her clan and Starclan's wishes.

Now, Mossyheart quietly does her duties. She no longer speaks, especially not to Heronstar. Finchhawk is her only source of peace from her dreams. The two are incredibly close, closer than medicine cats should be in some of the clan members' eyes. Mossyheart lives in constant fear of what she will witness next, as the Dread Forest follows her every pawstep.
