.•°Summary°•.

The Floros family is a line of inkdrians that have existed throughout ink history. The first Floros family member can be linked back to the year Stargazer themself was born. It is unusual to meet an inkdrian with the last name Floros in modern day, however in the past there were plenty with the surname running around.
Unlike other families, the Floros aren't known for any specific job. Rather, they are known for their strange connections to death.

.•°History/Notable Events°•.

The Floros family line began with the birth of an inkdrian who named themself Star-Lye, in honor of the then new god Stargazer.
Not too long after naming themself, Star-Lye was found by a seedrian woman by the name of Nova Floros. Nova, not knowing much about inkdrians, took the young Star-Lye home for safety and went to look for their parents. Not finding anyone, Nova decided to adopt the inkdrian.

After that, Star-Lye had a pretty normal life. They gained friends, fell in love, and had some children. However, unlike most inks who die, then slowly turn to dust, Star-Lye was still conscious as their body slowly eroded. It wasn't until Stargazer came to speed up the process that they truly died.
After Star-Lye's death, their children began to have coincidental run-ins with the god of death, and even had similar odd phenomena happen when they died.
This continues to be a pattern, with Floros members that exist in modern day having the same experience with death as those who came before them.

 .•°Appearance°•.

General traits
Around 75% of Floros family members have a common body color, far higher than the rest of ink-kind. with Uncommon and Rare body colors making up 20%, and Very rare colors making up a low 5%. Bristles are also a pretty rare thing on a Floros member, with only about 30% of the family having them, and the number of sets seemingly never surpassing two.

Markings
Every family members have an upside-down triangle on their left cheek. This triangle can be filled in or an outline, but is usually alone. More uncommonly, the triangle can be seen with two dots somewhere around the triangle.
The rest of the inkdrian's markings are irrelevant, to the family, and usually come from the non-Floros family parent.

Connection with Death
Although not technically tied to their appearance, all family members have a connection with death or in some cases to Stargazer themself. Whether it be being compelled to have a last bit of fun before they die, begging to be a part of Stargazer's scarf/Hood, or something as innocuous as being friends with the god, it's a strange pattern the family just can't seem to shake. Heck, there's also a family member that was born dead

Hybrids?
Although the family is mostly pure inkdrians, it is not uncommon, nor usually looked down upon for a family member to have a hybrid child.

 .•°Traditions°•.

Any traditions shared between distant cousins are strictly coincidence. The family has always been too spread out to have family traditions.
That being said, it seems that Floros family members devoting their lives to Stargazer is a common practice, however, this is more often than not a personal choice, rather than a tradition.

 .•°Notable Members°•.

Afina (Me):  An inkdrian who was neglected by her parents at a young age, died, and grew up in the afterlife. As stated above, her connection is that she is good friends with Stargazer.
Irmina (Me): Afina's future daughter who was born dead.
Myrick (Me): TBA
Shyla (Me): A shrine maiden who was alive while the Grey Witch, Circe was still active. Being killed when her shrine was destroyed by said Grey Witch, Shyla begged Stargazer to use her dust in their scarf.
Star-Lye (Me): TBA
Quintin (Me): A kid genius who fell ill when he was 11. Wanting to have a little more fun, he designed a maze for Stargazer to go through, even going so far as to add decoys.

 .•°Other Info°•.

-The whole "connection with death" part of the family was completely unintentional. It just something that I came up with after looking over the family members I had already made and realizing they all had that in common.
-Quintin wasn't originally intended to be a Floros. It was only when I noticed I gave him the exact same triangle mark that I decided to make him part of the family.
-A family member's connection with death can be anything, including but not limited to, feeling like death follows them, Having the ability to see ghosts, running into Stargazer a lot, and having an odd death. Any connection to death is fair game.
