shotglass (30s, he/him) is a singer at an infamous bar known for the recent murders of high profile individuals, something almost unheard of when it's supposed to be neutral ground. while some turn their suspicions to the staff such as the bartender or the other customers, its shotglass himself who has been gleaming into the crowd for future prospects. he lacks prowess in any physical combat, but makes up for it in adaptability and personality. he is a smooth talker, friendly, and comforting when necessary (and quick with his hands when it comes to lacing a drink) in actuality, it's shotglass who has been poisoning certain individual's drinks on behalf of deck of cards, the boss of a dwindling gang looking everywhere for new 'family'.
at first, shotglass meets deck of cards while performing and it starts off as a business relationship, with him putting on the signature charm, bells & whistles for what he thought was a one time client. however, deck of cards saw through him immediately, and shotglass becomes more comfortable acting snarky and playful, even annoying at times. he is never fearful or weary of the boss, considering his run-in with many of the worst criminals who typically favor him, but deck of cards tries to stay strictly business and not fall for any of his performative bullshit.
its the lovestruck persona on stage that has led many to assume he isnt capable of (physical) harm besides heartbreaks, most pointing to the fact that he wouldnt touch a weapon if it scratched up the nail polish on his claws. assumtions aside, glass is still fragile and any fights would be apparent if he was ever chipped/cracked/shattered. unbeknownest to many though, the drink inside the glass is pure alcohol and lethal in small dosages. with a few drops of juice and coloring, anyone else would just assume it's any other girl drink. playing dumb or innocent is what he does best, and he'll be damned to meet anyone else who does it better than him.
he lives for the material world, but specifically for performance. the art of devotion to a craft, of pushing your body to its limits to create something no one else could claim, to become the art itself and synonymous with it. he wants his name to be in the same breath as the most endeared performers of his time, all in the hopes that one day everything he's done to get to this point in life would be worth it. that every risk and injury and gamble would result in him living forever, at least in memory, and be known for all his hard work. he's clawed his way through the industry, and although deck of card's appearance in his life sidetracks him, it also lets him slow down and develop a close bond without the expectation of moving forward in the world from that relationship.
