Murdock

One may mistake this quite literally "wizened" slumbering ibex for a patch of soft moss atop some ancient piles of stone. Murdock is a centuries old bezoar ibex that used to be the companion of a wizard, until said wizard passed on. Murdock was the keeper of the keys to the wizard's magical artifacts, until, over time, Murdock essentially became one of said artifacts when he melded with some of the magics as a result of being around them for so long.

Murdock still guards the artifacts, but rather than doing so out of a sense of obligation to the now-deceased wizard, Murdock still guards them simply because he's too stupid to quit.
