▬▬ E G O E, Advisor ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Despite the cold and unyielding air that comes with the way he carries himself, Egoe is one of the most personable dragons in Aurum... but beware of saying too much around him. While Egoe is blind, he can "see" living things by sensing their presence, combined with his keen sense of hearing.

His favorite pastime is stalking hallways and listening to secrets being whispered rooms away, and he savors the chance to threaten exposing those he overhears. He'll offer to keep their secret for a price, but on occasion, he'll turn around and sell these secrets to whomever offers more.

Egoe is rarely seen apart from Eusimod. Despite knowing her brother is independent, she often tries to lead Egoe around or help him, which he can't stand. Most of Egoe's fun is had when she's away.

▬▬ H I S T O R Y ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Egoe hatched alone in a forest. But it was not long until someone found him- Eusimod, a young hatchling who was quite fascinated by the little wildclaw. The blind wildclaw was unaware of how curious he looked - as, having just hatched, having four wings and seeing only darkness was all he had experienced.

Eventually, Eusimod’s parents found their missing daughter, who’d gone into the forest alone. They took in the little wildclaw hatchling along with her, and named him Egoe.

The family that adopted him was quite rich and influential. They treated him as their son, although they clearly favored Eusimod over him. They thought him fragile because of his blindness, and when important guests were over he was treated as a trophy and an oddity for his four wings.

Eusimod dearly loved her brother, but she also treated him like he was feeble. She tried to lead him around and tell him where to go… Egoe hated this. As he grew older he couldn’t stand this coddling or how his family dismissed him and tried to show him off. He was capable, so why wouldn’t they believe him when he argued?

And so, Egoe often escaped his sister at night, slipping away from her careful eyes to traverse the mansion alone. He would hear, with his ears made more sharp by his lack of sight, the many noises of the quiet house. He would overhear conversations. He would collect secrets that he was never supposed to know.

He found it fun. He reveled in the opportunity to confront people on their secrets, and then extort money out of them to keep him from spilling the beans. And then he would turn around and sell the secret to whoever offered more than the original price. And all of this, he did behind his family’s back.

He had finally grown into the Ego that his name and fate had laid out for him.

But one day, he shared the wrong secret. It would destroy his and Eusimod’s parent’s fortune, but he didn’t know that at the time - he didn’t have enough info. When he shared the secret, it became public - everyone, including Eusimod, denounced their parents. She removed herself from the family and took Egoe with her to a new home - the Aurum.

Egoe didn't agree to this, but she took him with her anyway. This was the final straw for him, although that anger wouldn't come to fruition for a while.

The entire palace could hear it when he finally blew up on his sister, and they could sense something had changed. The next morning, she didn't guide him when they walked around the palace, and Ego exuded a new confidence - one that was icy and chilling and dangerous.

• His prices for secret keeping and selling are often exorbitant, but that is mostly due to his position around other wealthy dragons. He knows well enough to make his prices "affordable" depending who he's dealing with.

• After the incident with his family, he judges whether some secrets should be sold at all before he sells them. Depending on how much the fallout would affect him or others (mostly him), he may just keep it to himself.

• Eusimod will still help him with many things, but with a sense of respect she never had before. Their relationship is just a little unstable, and Egoe is looking into an assistant so Eusimod will leave him alone.

• Most of his documents are written with a braille typewriter, except for his signature which is signed in his handwriting. His family did not let him write his signature when he lived with them, and he now makes a point to sign every document by hand.

----

• His accent is interpreted as another set of working wings

• His normal wingspan is very large
