Sterling's twin sister. She's older than him by 19 minutes and never lets him forget it.
She is rather bossy, outspoken, and brutally honest; from a young age she realized her brother was an extreme introvert and is used to hogging the spotlight away from him as a result. While she never holds back if she has something to say, Karat is not brash or dense; she has a self-awareness and consideration to the feelings of others that many of her relatives do not.
While she doesn't really get her brother and is frustrated by that fact because they are twins, Karat always has his back.
