An information broker whose front is a medicine shop in a medium sized city in the deserts of Jo’Arca. He has connections within most of races of Stardragons, save for the Robbers and the Fishers and can get you just about any type of information you want…for a price of course. An accomplished mage, he specializes in making medicine rather than combat magic, though he can defend himself if necessary. His underground name is Raz, which is what most of his connections know him by. He is from the Eastern Continent, but closer to the Northern borders. He has no immediate family except for an elderly aunt who still lives back home. His parents died from an epidemic while he was away studying to become a mage. He was a young teenager when this happened and it affected his ability to be around people. He can’t stand to be touched by strangers and even his aunt has trouble being able to even elicit a hand hold from him now. He struggled for several years after his parents’ death, eventually quit school and moved away from home.
He has always loved books and the gaining of knowledge and is always looking to get new books for his collection. He owns a very extensive library that is attached to his shop. He has an assistant that came along a few years ago, a desert Stardasher named Shunya who helps with protecting the shop and gathering materials. Because of his long hours of constant reading, he has more or less ruined his eyes. He is extremely nearsighted and wears glasses to see. They’ve been enchanted to glow if they become separated from him.
He is an extreme clean freak and has OCD when it comes to things being organized. Everything has labels and their own category within a category within a category…well you get the point. When Shunya came along this bad habit eased up a bit along with his inability to be touched but he still has trouble with dirty things.
Because of his type of work, he comes off as callous and cold in his personality, but really he’s just a socially awkward bookworm who doesn’t know how to properly interact with people. He exhibits anxiety sometimes in the form of either pacing or absent page flipping. He is blunt in his speech and not very tactful when it comes to selling gathered information and has no patience for those who do not wish to agree to his terms.
The potions and pills he makes are an infusion of medicinal herbs and magic. Each have a grade to them, varying in effects and power and are sold to travelers, citizens and fellow mages. Most are normal things intended for healing wounds or boosting energy, but there are a few that have more interesting effects…and much more dangerous side effects.
