Dagda

Having made it to the very heart of the Unseelie Woods, you find that the trees have turned into staggering giants. Their trunks so huge and wide that it would take five of you to even wrap around them. The shrooms lighting your path have also grown just as monsterous. They tower a head or two above you. One would think given their size they would have grown brighter, and they have, but the light that comes off of them barely travels more than a few feet before it's smothered by the darkness. You can only just continue your journey as you try to keep close to the mushrooms. Your unaware of something tracking your progress through the center of the court.

The crow lands on a sharp, blue claw. Whispering about what it's discovered to a tilted ear. A large, sharp grin starts to spread on its master's face as he sends the bird off with a mission. The path of glittering fungi starts to dwindle down as you slow your pace. A worried note starts to eat at the back of your mind as you look around. The darkness of the forrest is so thick that it's impossible to see another path. However, just as you prepare to turn around and walk back, something in the corner of your eye catches your attention. A mushroom has just lit up. You're certain that there was no glowing shroom there just a moment ago... Yet, there's one branching off to the right now. You can hear your heart racing in your ears as you travel towards it. Another shroom nearby lights up suddenly, then another, and another. You can't tell what's causing them to suddenly light up into a path. Spores drift in the air above and around them as you slowly follow them. Behind you, the mushrooms are growing dim as the light fades away. Your trail slowly disolving without you noticing as you continue going forward.

You only stop following the mushrooms when the path they make no longer forms the slightly winding road. Your fear and anxiety are making you back away as you see a the fungi has now formed a large, glowing ring. Turning around to go back, it's then that you realized your mistake. The path back is no longer there. You're only greeted by the pitch black of the woods. You stumble backwards, your mind reeling in terror. As you go backwards, you trip on something hard. Falling down of your rear, your eyes are wide and wild as you look around for what tripped you. A few large, glittering jewels lay under your palms as you back away. Unknowingly, you've put yourself in the center of this shining fairy circle. There's a loud snapping and crack, whiping around you turn to face the outside of the circle. You try to stand up, but something holds you down firmly to the ground. Looking down you see thick, strong vines and roots had emeraged from the ground. They keep you strapped down on the forrest floor. Tugging and fighting them, you only succeed in wearing yourself out.

The monster ahead of you makes itself visible. At first your think its large, frowning mouth as to glowing orbs on its chin. It's when you notice that those orbs are blinking, that they are actually eyes, that your realize its not frowning at you. The upside down grin of Dagda's grows larger as he enters the circle. Slowly, one by one, the mushrooms of the circle start going out. Your eyes are wide in horror as darkness starts to consume the rest of your vision. "Oh my, I love that look on your face." Dagda's voice is low and husky as he starts to slowly close in. "The look of fear is so... Delicious."
