Kai Metaform/Human
"This part of me has been hidden for too long, I didn't kill them. It's time for me to accept who I am, faults in all."
Kai was created early 2015, as one of my first characters. I am most excited about his story and how I can tell it. Over the years the story has changed drastically, but Kai has still remained the same along with the interactions with other characters in the story. I have drawn him the most, but never really liked his designs, I figured I would come back to make him a likeable reference sheet when I was ready. He is still my favorite character and I cannot wait to adapt his story into some way.
Kai's world is an alternate universe in which monsters are very much real, although rare to see. They can be ghost-like entities or corrupted spirits piloting a monster's body. These corrupted spirits have remained in the world because they felt empty upon their death and either seek revenge or want to fill an empty void. No matter their reason, they cause chaos and can harm people. Organizations were formed to protect the public from these spirits by killing the body along with the spirit. The Capital is the most prevalent organization in the world and rules a the country the story takes place in. The public believes it is just an office for government business, but it doubles as a metaform hunting center.
There are technologies in this world, phones and other electronic devices are a bit more advanced, but there is no such thing as travelling to another planet or high sciences such as that. Instead, technology was developed to 'cure' the metaform world and purge it of its members.

Kai often gets himself into trouble, he has it hard enough being half metaform, but he is confident and has a hard time obeying orders. There have been many times he has been placed on house arrest or locked up in the metaform holding center for misbehaving.
Despite his many troubles, he gets along with others well. He is very caring and will expend his last breath to save someone he loves. He is intelligent and understands how to get out of seemingly hopeless situations.
Background
Kai was born into a family famous for hunting Metaforms. His parents were high authority and very well received for their hard-work. When Kai turned eight his parents came home to him and his older sister. Kai went down the hill to town to visit the store, upon returning he found a Metaform insane and wounded. His parents and sister were killed defending themselves from its surprise attack. The creature not able to bear anymore hits, fled to the forest. Kai grabbed the nearest weapon and hunted the creature down. The creature was not ready to die and prepared to transfer itself into another host, being Kai's body. Kai struck the creature down, however, the spirit ended up dying. It left a hollow vessel which turned to dust as the spirit disintegrated. Kai received the powers from the creature, without the spirit invading his body. Once hunters found out about the family's tragic end, they wiped Kai's memories and sealed his powers away to hope he would live a normal life.

Full Moon
Like all metaforms, the moon strengthens their bodies, Kai becomes much larger and can hold back up to 20 metaforms on his own.
Lightning
In his regular metaform he has slight static electricity that comes out of him, during Full Moon, it turns into powerful lightning.

Kai has a total of six limbs, two front legs and his back set of legs. He has striped markings down most of his limbs, neck and back. His lighter belly fur begins between his front legs. Kai's horns are not hollow, and are indeed very sturdy and sharp. Because of the weight, he uses all of his front legs to support his neck and head. He usually keeps his head down to relax, but can stand on his back two legs and balance.

- Fur is short on the majority of his body, the exception to this is his neck and cheeks.
- Long pair of teeth come out of the back of his mouth on the top of his jaw.
- Tail is sturdy, almost like a crocodile tail, but more malleable.
