The Gatekeeper

The common ground for those who manage to stay on the low. Monsters that happen to appeal to the governess of the area will be approached by one of her personal guards, which means instant subordination as a guardskeep. These individuals are responsible as playing into the general monster familia militia. These monsters protect the towns, scout areas, as well as have a chance to be promoted to the governess's personal guard. This role is not easily obtained through a simple application process. There is a set of Trials that is given to each monster that wishes to join the human party.

The Trials

The trials consists of various logic, intelligence, and strength tests. Each are a complicated set for those that lack in at least a youth's knowledge. These are set in to help keep the "protection" of the common people from the dangers. They have learned how to make them allowed to coexist with one another, but lack in a way to remove the discrimination.

About

She was born of the family that was exiled from the lands. Her family was thrown out due to her parents showing their true form to protect her. Yen was a small child with exceptional memory, and an amazing natural power. When her family was exiled, they were thrown into the badlands. Her parents had died at the age of 572, an incredibly young age for her kind. Usually known to live up to the age of 1200, yet they died at under half their expected life span. They died protecting the young Yen from a variety of hostile monsters around their home. Yen tried to return to the town, and find herself a living there. But the town had labeled her and the family sinners for merely defending themselves.

Personality

A rather innocent being. She does not show nor act many emotions. Yen is known to have random outbursts of power when she detects that she is in danger. Other than that, she is a pure innocent being that speaks very little due to many occurences that happened when she does.

Trivia

• Is rather clumsy, and ends up tripping a lot.
• Has the most amazing memory. The second she hears something, she will recall it word for word.
• Works as a gatekeeper for the Queen, but she has little to none known combat training. She is a very skilled melee fighter.
• She has always wanted to eat sweets and candy, but she never had the money for it.
• She worked as a waitress in a tavern in town before the Queen scouted out her massive natural power.
