Caem

Caem is the ruling nephilim lord of Cataract, the easternmost of the Kingdom's great houses. Despite his youthful appearance, he's a talented warrior and mage and far older than he looks; he's widely regarded as one of the Kingdom's most stalwart defenders, and has been for decades. Though he isn't overly sociable and prefers to focus on maintaining the eastern border rather than spending much time at court, those who consider him a friend know that his quiet demeanor houses a sharp mind.

The odd, largely skeletal look of Caem's wings are said to be the result of a magical accident in his youth that was beyond even the most talented healers' ability to fully repair. Restoring a measure of function and regaining his ability to fly has been a lifelong struggle, and requires the nephilim lord's ongoing attention.
