kalfu meaning "crossroads"

although kalfu is a descendent of elios's family, and elios's direct nephew, it is believed he is not worthy of the founding family's name ('-stus'). originally he was called kalfustus due to being the next in line for the clan's leader, but upon entering eliostus he was stripped of his founding name. elios takes pride of all those with lightly colored fur and believes anyone with dark fur is not worthy of the sun. any born of dark fur are casted out as soon as they are of age, but kalfu got lucky. due to his founding blood, he was allowed to stay in the clan as long as he became a wizard and took over duties of watching the moon temple. believing he wouldn't receive refuge anywhere else but eliostus, he became a wizard. now he watches over the moon temple, although it is generally avoided due to the clan's overall belief of the sun being far more important. 

stubborn and rude to any who cross his path, mainly due to being outcasted by his clanmates. kalfu is slightly blind in both eyes, but combats this with his magic abilities. he doesn't quite understand why the sun is so important to his clan, and wishes they could see the importance of the moon too.
