[BACKGROUND]

Born in Russia she spent the beginning of her life without her father. She lived in a small apartment and since she could remember had always been taking care of her mother. Her mother suffered from drug abuse and alcoholism. Her mother prostituted herself out as well helped with odd jobs sometimes to pay for apartment and bills. Despite her mothers terrible habits and lifestyle she did her best to show her love for Zarya, constantly apologizing to her, 

She would sometimes get bullied at school for her Asian appearance, but instead of crying she started fights. She was labeled as a troublemaker among students so she didn't have many friends; but she was actually always close with teachers since her grades were high and they were concerned about her behavior.

But around age 10 her mother had a severe overdose that ended up putting her into a coma. Her mother showed no signs that she would ever wake up so authorities soon asked if she had any other family that she knew about that could take care of her; she was only able to tell them that she knew the name of her father that her mother once told her. And before she knew it she was on a plane to China.

Her father was a wealthy business man, when she first met him he rejected the idea of her being his daughter at first but then paused to say that if a blood test could prove that she was indeed his daughter then he would take her in. The blood test proved that she was indeed his daughter.

So she moved in with her father, she didn't see much of him due to work but whenever she did he was very kind to her. She was homeschooled until she learned Chinese, where after she went to an expensive private school. She went there for a few years before expressing to her father her want to study abroad in Canada which of course he let her.

She met a Korean exchange student in her school who she quickly became friends with due to their mutual passion for music. Her friend got very excited to hear one of her favorite kpop companies and would soon be holding auditions in Canada and urged Zarya to try out with her.

Zarya passed the auditions, signed a contract and then moved and is continuing school over in Korea as she trains in company.
