Valentine Cassius Velmont is a 56 years old dhampir. He is the bastard child of the ex queen of Etrya and was raised by his farmer father without this knowledge until he was 19. As a dhampir, he unfortunately went through fits of blood lust, only satiated by the ingestion of animal blood his father would acquire at nearby slaughterhouses. His isolation did not allow him to make lasting connections in his early life except for his very strong bond with his father.
When Cassius learnt that he was of royal descent and that the throne had been overtaken by vampire slayers - the Des Lys family - he took it upon himself to reclaim what was rightfully his and his father's. For nearly 40 years, he has been climbing the ladder, grappling through mud, until he acquired the title of General. So close to his goal, one more obstacle is in front of him: Alisterius Des Lys, the prince, who is also in competition towards the title.
It is to note that although he does look the part, no one really suspects him to be a vampire. Oh sure, there are the rumors others have brought up but most merely assume he is a half elf with a moon elf mother, explaining his pale complexion and pointy ears. Most think it would be foolish for a vampire to be this exposed to the royal family, considering their past as vampire hunters.

  • His scythe and overall overly cold behavior gained him the title of "The Lily's Reaper" in the public - a title he attempts to entertain as such reputation makes others fear him.
  • Cassius hates his first name which is why he goes by his second one.
  • The only person Cassius truly cares for is his own father. He wants to reclaim the throne to offer a comfortable life to him as well as reestablishing Justice.
  • He respects highly people able to stand up for themselves and who will do what they believe to be right no matter what. For this reason, they hold a begrudging respect for the crowned prince Alisterius.
  • They are ruthless and would stop at NOTHING to accomplish their goal. The only thing that they believe to be out of question is assassination. Only cowards and traitors backstab someone. He wants to win back his throne with honor through a duel of some sort accompanied with a swift execution.
  • Cassius drinks quite a lot of red wine. It being actual wine or blood is something no one can say but in his rare free time, he spends almost all of it a bottle nearby watching the bustling imperial city.
  • He doesn't like coffee and pastries make him sick.

  • While I did not draw his right arm, he is not missing either of his limbs, it's just hidden by the cape.
  • His armor's design is pretty close to Alisterius' since they both have armors that represent the royal family's emblem.
  • Cassius' weapon is a scythe where the middle part (the silver part) can actually dislocate itself to become longer, like a chain. Cassius can thus use the pointy part of his weapon to grapple far opponents and use his herculean strength to drag them to him then finish them off with the head of the scythe.
  • The design on the small flag on his chest and on his eyepatch represents a snake.
  • Cassius has a body type that is more naturally muscular through manual labor so quite thick with some fat and large muscles.
