Design Notes:

• BIG ol' double antennae (all the same length, but front set is wide and back set is thin)
• Antennae are TALL (~twice as tall as his ears); if they don't look awkwardly huge on his head, make 'em bigger
• Tail curls downwards (not upwards like a shiba tail)
• Beefy torso, scrawny backside
• Elbow and paw tufts on the front legs only
• Dinky lil' scruff mane that doesn't cover his chest
• Pale grey eyes, look almost white
• Translucent white wings

Character Notes:

• Works at a harbor, repairing ships and doing other hands-on work
• Has an extremely liberal definition of Friends & Family Discount (which basically amounts to "if I or anyone related to me has ever had a favorable interaction with you, I'll fix your boat for free")
• Grew up on and around boats and adores being in them as much as he enjoys building/repairing them
• Hilariously, he doesn't actually have a boat of his own. He just tags along on his friends' and dad's boats on a regular basis.
• Loves kids and family more than anything and spends every moment he can with his kids, niblings, and resident exchange student.
• Loves to instigate mud fights with the kids (and sometimes adults) in his life!
• He does not share his partner or dad's propensity for science. He really struggled in school and feels more comfortable working with boats and children than with books and microscopes. The only math he likes is the measurements he uses while building boats. Still, he enthusiastically supports his science-loving family members even though he doesn't understand a word they're talking about half the time.
• He's almost a completely different cat with strangers than he is around friends and family. Around familiar faces, he's a bubbly extrovert who's constantly laughing and talking and goofing off, whereas with new faces he's very reserved and polite.
• He has a huge sweet tooth and will devour pretty much any treat you offer him! He's especially fond of homemade treats from Kerr and Shmi (his son and resident exchange student), because he appreciates the sentiment behind them even more than the flavor. He'll even eat them if they turned out awful, because they were made with love.
