On the outside, Alexei appears to be a man who thinks of no one but himself. Around strangers, he has a tendency to be overly selfish, loud, obnoxious, snarky, and extremely self-confident. His temper can be hard to raise, but when it has been, everyone in the area will be well aware. He is not a man who shies away from being the center of attention, whether in a positive or negative light.

Upon getting to know Alexei, however, he is a very kind man toward those he considers friends. His sense of humor can shine through no matter the situation, and his overall 'goofball' personality may flare up at the wrong times.

Towards those he considers family, he is a different man entirely. There is little he wouldn't do to protect those he loves. He is fiercely loyal, and despite living the life of a thieving pirate, is true to his word. His integrity is something he sticks by. When he makes a promise, you can expect him to keep it no matter the circumstances.

Years and years of sailing while being raised in a pirate crew kept Alexei in constant shape. Managing the ship's sails, as well as being required to be able to stay out of the hands of the law, took its toll on his body, so while he is fit, his body may also look worn. He has longer limbs, which help him reach his height.

His face is defined, with symmetrical features and stubble along his chin. His left eyebrow is cut in two places - the result of a close shave with the guards of the kingdom where they frequently acquire supplies from. His nose is curved downward. He sports dark brown hair in a messy mohawk that trails back into a ponytail.

Clothing and Accessories

While the money he posses would be more than enough to buy a few sets of fancy clothes, Alexei prefers to keep his sailing clothes on. These are usually a light, white shirt with simple brown pants and boots. He only loosens the shirt when on land, as having it wave around when dealing with the ropes and inner workings of the ship could be dangerous.

His left ear holds three golden earrings, and he can always be seen with a silver nosering as well. He has tattooes of unknown design on both his left shoulder and right thigh.

The Beginning

As far back as he could remember, Alexei Thatcher had been a member of the seafaring gang of pirates known as the Red Raiders, who were notorious for their tendency to commit massive crimes out in the open and their preference for bows. He was constantly reminded, however, that he had been taken as an infant off of the streets, and that he owed his life to them because of it. He saw no issue with this, as the life of a pirate is the only life he'd ever known. In his younger years, Alexei ran pickpocketing errands for the captain and begged on the side of the streets for food and money, bringing all of his gatherings back to the ship, or wherever the crew was staying at the time. He eventually had one of the other children on board tag along with him as well: Alsea. Together, they were an adorable child force to be reckoned with; it was difficult to resist giving them at least a little something when you would see them asking for anything to eat, or a small bit of money.

As he grew older, Alexei helped manage the ship, and was sent on riskier heists, most often with his best friend, Khayin, and Alsea came along as well of course. By his late teen years, he had adjusted well to the look of a pirate. His head was shaven in spots, with tattooes and piercings marking his body. He now stole from merchants, passerby, nobles, opposing ships, and crews all the time. This put quite the price on his head. He frequently ran into bounty hunters; one such encounter resulted in him losing a tooth, replacing it with a golden one instead. This earned him the nickname 'Tooth'.

Around this time is when Alexei began to notice one bounty hunter in particular always seemed to be closer on his trail than any of the others. They were tall, and despite having golden armor covering the majority of their body, it was obvious they were muscular, and not someone to be trifled with. Their horned helmet hid any expression from their face, meaning encountering them was an unnerving experience. They managed to be the only bounty hunter Alexei had a hard time escaping from. The price on Alexei's name, however, drew attention to his crew and just who they were.

Rumors started to circulate amongst the people, rumors that Alexei picked up on. The reason the bounty on him, a pirate like any other, was so high was due to who he was running with. It was then that Alexei heard the truth about his so-called family. His captain, and those in the crew old-enough to be involved, were infamous for a massive murder spree and raid on the kingdom, years ago. This plunder had resulted in the king and queen's son missing, the general of the time's wife and children being killed, and many others being slaughtered. Despite being used to such violence on a smaller scale, this near broke Alexei to his core.

Upon returning to the ship, Alexei contronted the older Captain Cyrus about this. He drilled into this man, whom he had considered a father figure, regardless of the things he had done. He asked how he could kill children, and demanded to be told what happened. He threatened to sell out the crew's location, and all their belongings.

This was not something the older members of the crew were happy to hear. The night following, Alexei was frantically woken up by Khayin, warning his best friend that these same members were looking to kill him before he could say anything to out them. Both Khayin and Alsea lured the golden-armored bounty hunter to the area the crew was staying that night, causing enough chaos for Alexei to slip past those who were looking to kill him for what he knew.

This plan backfired, however, when the bounty hunter decidedly stopped fighting the rest of the crew and chased after Alexei on horseback instead. His horse and supplies were found days later, and he was assumed dead.

The Middle

After a long chase on horseback, the bounty hunter eventually chase down Alexei, capturing him with the intent of killing him. Alexei was able to cut a deal: provide information on the crew in exchange for his life. The bounty hunter agreed, dragging him back to the crowned prince of the kingdom, Jabari, and explaining the situation. It was revealed that the bounty hunter, known as The Decimator, was tasked by the prince himself to hunt this crew down; the bounty hunter had been the one tasked herself with tracking Alexei specifically. She assigned herself as well as the war general, Ragnokar, the role of extracting this knowledge from the pirate.

Alexei was hasty to get revenge on the crew that had betrayed him, and gave as much information on them as he could. He helped track them down and gave details on their mannerisms during these trips. The more excursions the trio went on, the closer they became. They fought together, ate together, and trained together. Both Ragnokar and the Decimator alike showed Alexei fighting tips, and he in turn proved to have a sharp tactical mind of his own. As years went on, he even became closer with the prince, Jabari.

Despite their distaste for pirates, the three warmed up to Alexei over time.

Alexei became well-known throughout the kingdom, and he learned that he had a heart for helping people more than he did stealing from them. He helped out all across the area where he could, (possibly even stealing from people to give to others), and continued to improve his relations with the higher-ups.

The End

Eventually, the group was able to hunt down one of the other pirates who had been forced from the group: one of the original members that had been involved in the famed raid. Her surprise upon seeing Alexei alive was clear, and she revealed that the rest of the crew believed him to be dead, along with divulging another piece of shocking information regarding Alexei's heritage.

The Decimator promptly offed the woman after she told them the raider's next plan of action. Jabari organized a ship and crew to follow after the pirates, including Alexei and the Decimator on it.

Several hours of cannonfire and arrows flying later, the pirate crew had the advantage and continued to rain arrows down upon Jabari and the rest of the group. They pushed on still, but the final barrage of arrows proved to be their downfall.

Alexei was struck by two, and died cradled in Jabari's arms.

Swordfighting

Alexei began swordfighting at a young age, sparring with the other younglings in the Raiders. His skill in the craft grew as he did.

Singing

Though he may not have the prettiest voice (at all), Alexei is a pro at livening up a crowd by passionately bellowing any song he knows.

Strategizing

Similar to the stories of his father, Alexei proved to have a mind made for strategizing.
