Meanwhile there is h3, the alter ego of Edwin, who he feels carefree and self-confident in and is possessing a devil-may-care attitude. He enjoys making jokes and trolling others, often outsmarting those who cross his path. When acting as h3, Edwin somehow has a more optimistic outlook on life, and he doesn't seem to well on negative thoughts. However, with his now carefree attitude, he no longer strictly adheres to the line between good and evil, and which of the two sides he plays into...
Story
Edwin lived in a shared apartment with his best friend, both incredible nerds and talented hackers who earned their living through minor cyber intrusions. Despite their activities, they considered themselves the good guys, labeling themselves as hacktivists. One day, Edwin's friend began to change — staying out late and speaking less with him. One night, he vanished with his most important belongings, leaving Edwin only a letter explaining his desire to switch sides. Edwin was told not to search for him to avoid danger.
Heartbroken and desperate, Edwin reacted by destroying the remaining belongings of his now ex-friend, but restrained himself from pursuing him. Months later, upon returning from an errand, Edwin found his apartment obliterated, leaving him homeless. Wandering aimlessly through the city's ghettos, he was taken in by someone who recognized him from their hacking exploits. This person, for personal reasons, offered Edwin the chance to assume the notorious persona "h3", the most anonymous and renowned informant on the entire continent.
Years passed, and Edwin settled into his new role. He rarely interacts with the outside world as himself, finding strength, popularity, and importance as h3. Occasionally, he forgets that this persona is not his real identity but merely a facade.

Relationships
They used to be roommates and play games all night. After some misfortunes they lost sight of each other for some years. They found each other again recently and even though Ed would never admit it - he's more than happy about it.
Haruki found Edwin when he was at his lowest - homeless, without prospects, without hope. The pony doll, as one of the most talented hackers known to mankind, consecrated his persona "h3" to Edwin and taught him a lot. Haruki cannot leave his home, but can teleport Edwin, now the current "h3", to him whenever he pleases. Edwin hates when Haruki does that.
