Mahi often uses the 'coyote' hand symbol as a silent emphasis. The usage is contextual and fluctuates. Mahi swishes his tail and flicks his fins both as an idle habit and in order to communicate.

Normally silent, Mahi rarely speaks although his expression is very open. Mahi's voice is a low, quiet monotone with a hint of a rasp from disuse. As such, Mahi often punctuates his expression and few sentences with body language or hand symbols.

THE GREAT FLOOD occured decades ago. The Tiamat, a massive serpent able to tear rifts between dimensions, swam through the oceans of Earth and brought with it immense surges of seawater from another world. Humans scrambled to deal with rising sealevels as the water swallowed untold acres of land. And the waters brought with it dangers. Aquatic monsters now populated the large swathes of ocean, attacking boats and underwater settlements.
