History

MK9311s were made by SAFETP (Safety for The People (pron. Safe-TP) of Thylan's human colony to fight in the conflict between the humans of Thylan and the semiaquatic species of Reistea. The two armies would battle in varied conflict points on both Thylan and Reistea. Thylan's military was split into five major commands, Rho, Sigma, Tau, Upsilon and Phi, and MK9311s were made to serve each of them.

The reason MK9311s were decommissioned were the glaring faults they had, created in the testing period and forgotten until too many were produced to mandate repairs for all of them. A very specific voltage is capable of shutting them down completely until they reboot - roughly about a solid minute. Another reason behind their decommissioning was that not only newer models were produced, but a mistake made by the designer behind MK9311s made them difficult to update without physical interaction.


Basics

The MK9311 model has two versions, a brief summary of the differences between the two being the following:
V1: Minimalistic, non-complex build. Eyes lack pupils. Slightly inferior head structure. Weighs 430kg. GPS and tracking module located in lower right thigh. Shorter battery lifespan.
V2: Additional compartments to allow the installation of extra weaponry in case of emergency. Bolstered durability. Weighs 460kg. Smoother edges. GPS and tracking module located in lower left thigh.

Identification numbers for both are comprised of a combination of two letters and two numbers, made to be short but unique. (e.g. VR23, XE32, etc.)

A newly recruited MK9311's training process takes up to three hours. Mandatory quarterly obedience checks are highly recommended as to prevent rebellion, as their sentience is too complex to be fully bound by programming.

MK9311s have extremely high security. Their programming is literally impossible to modify without the right access key, and their body rejects any changes more drastic than minor modifications.


Protocols

    A) INFORMATION
    [A-01] Confidential information related to Important Persons (IPs) (Refer to MB-4) is to be withheld. Information classified as "confidental" is considered details that could potentially endanger the IP, such as rank, position, origins and relations.
    [A-02] Specific information related to technical details of the MK9311 model is to be withheld.
    [A-03] Information related to past missions is to be withheld.
    [A-04] Explaining built-in protocols in detail (such as verbally reiterating the written protocol itself) is prohibited.
    [A-05] Exchanging of files related to system functions (logs, location, etc.) is prohibited.

    B) PROTECTION
    [B-01] Threat levels are to be reassessed every 20 minutes or every hostile gesture. They are to be based upon the individual's level of weaponry and likelihood of harming the MK9311 unit doing the assessment or their allies.
    [B-02] 95% Threat level is to trigger combat protocols immediately.
    [B-03] Combat protocols are not permitted to target an IP.
    [B-04] Defending IPs within the unit's vicinity takes priority.
    [B-05] MK9311 units are allowed to classify individuals who haven't harmed them significantly (e.g. intentionally tore through their epidermis) within the last 7 days as allies, which will cause combat protocols to be less sensitive to their actions.

Structure

MK9311s are built in layers of varied durability - the "epidermis" being the most outer and least durable layer, the white cover of their chest, thighs and forearms. The "dermis" covers their weapon systems such as jets, laser cannons and tracking, and the so-called "subdermis" covers their core components such as nerves and their main battery.

The epidermis is capable of withstanding one particularly high-powered laser shot, the dermis two and the subdermis about another two. In total, it would take roughly 5 shots to be able to meaningfully incapacitate a MK9311. Their head has the same durability as all layers combined.

These layers are what makes their appearance deceitful. MK9311s are known to be able to keep standing and fighting despite what unknowledgeable onlookers would consider to be extreme injuries.

MK9311s have three batteries installed, a main one that lasts a maximum of 10 months (7300 hours) under the subdermis and two back-up ones under the dermis lasting a week (168 hours) in their right and left thigh. The power usage varies depending on how much is dedicated to combat.

For example: the back-up batteries would both last almost 7 hours (0.04% of the maximum usage time) in level 3 combat protocols, while the main one would last 292 (12 days). Both are from 24 to 25 times less than what it would normally last.

The tracking function seems to have an incredibly strange location in order to deceive, varying with the model's two versions.


Abilities

Scanning: A MK9311 can, based on their programming's standards, gauge a target's threat level upon scanning them. The scanning is carried out through visual contact. The MK9311 has to hold contact for 4 seconds. If interrupted, depending on the bot's setting, acting out in self-defense is permitted.

A successful scan will save the target's DNA and/or composition to their internal database. This scan allows them to more effectively strategize as well as track their target within the range of 5 kilometers. If the target leaves the 5 kilometer radius, the unit will have to make visual contact again to be able to track them.

Gravity adjusters: This device is capable of adjusting the MK9311 unit's weight at will. Using it takes energy, however. Making oneself lighter costs less power than making oneself heavier.

Jets: All MK9311s are equipped with jets to assist in speed and flying. These jets can propel MK9311s at speeds up to 125mph and keep them hovering depending on their gravity setting.

Vision settings: A MK9311 unit has multiple different settings for eyesight, including infrared, night and x-ray vision.

Energy blades: These military-grade laser blades are capable of unsheathing from the unit's wrists at will, slicing through average metals and flesh with ease. They can also alternatively function as tasers.

Steel blades: Located in their feet, these are meant for making bleeding cuts in the average organic opponent's body.

Compact in-built laser rifles: There are two located in the unit's forearms. Allowed power supply varies with combat level. Level 0 and 1 will fizzle out against metal, 2 will burn through it and 3 can burn through their own kind's durable chassis.

V2 MK9311 units are granted every previous feature combined with new ones and additional durability. V2 units have multiple extra compartments for external SAFETP-brand weaponry and are allowed to exchange the laser fluids in their arms for different ammunition. They are also equipped with a grappling hook, also capable of pulling enemies.

All M9311 units have the strange capability of being able to function without their head, despite their head holding all the parts required to make them sentient. The secret is that there is a small system hidden within their core that provides animalistic faux-sentience. It is primitive, and only meant to be enough for the MK9311 to keep attacking their enemy with frightening determination until completely disabled.
