Profile
- Dropfall has very short fur, which makes her more succeptible to cold in leaf-bare, so she tries to stay inside or out of the elements during this time.
- She is approaching her retirement, but feels like she has lost time to make up to her clan first.
Dropfall is a wise, and always honest and genuine warrior who was mentored by Murkstar as an apprentice and looks to him like a father figure. She is relaxed and calm, though she can be stubborn and thickheaded especially if Lionpaw is involved. She's something of an overbearing mother in her fear of losing him like her first litter, and she insisted upon being his mentor herself primarily so that she could further dote on him and protect him.
She listens always to the requests of her other clanmates and especially goes out of her way to be kind to the other queens and shares deep sympathies with the ones who have lost kits like she has. She does have the bad tendency to set her mind on something, and refuse to budge easily which has more than a few times gotten her into spats with her other clanmates.
She was a good candidate for deputy, and was actually offered the position by Murkstar upon Crowplummet's death. She refused, stating that she can't let others that she cared for suffer because of her choices again. Regardless of whether her choices had anything to do with her kits joining starclan, she finds doubt in herself and blame for their passing on her own shoulders.
When she's got something set in her ways and refuses to move on an issue, its usually Ridgeback who has to talk her down and help her to see the reasonings of the clan.
- She is very in tune with her sense of hearing, and her name of Dropkit/fall was due to her reaction at drops of rain falling outside once she was a few days old and old enough to hear.
Dropfall is a senior warrior of Silentclan. she is the mate to Ridgeback and mother to Lionpaw.
Dropfall is an older cat who's seen much tragedy in her life, but has maintained a reasonably positive outlook despite this. Her mother passed away during her birth, and her father was killed soon after by a rockslide, leaving her without any immediate relation in her clan. She however, found a close bond with Ridgepaw, another apprentice during her time who would eventually become her mate and most treasured friend. They had one litter of kits, but of the three, none survived. One was killed by the rogue clan, the Deathneedles, she lost one to the illnesses of leaf-bare, and the last managed to reach apprenticeship before they were struck on the thunderpath and killed. She was entirely distraught, and for a long time her loyalty to the clan and starclan itself wavered as she wondered why they would allow this to happen to her kits.
She took a temporary leave of the clan, setting out to a life as a rogue after a nasty battle with her partner, Ridgeback-who refused to budge in his loyalty to his home, and the two split apart. After taking many moons to herself to wander, struggling through plenty more in her travels, she eventually returned. Reaffirmed in her faith in starclan, and reaffirmed in her love for her mate and will to make it up to the clan she'd left behind and make a home for herself again.
Though the clan was skeptical of her return at first, that was many moons ago now and they've come to terms with her need to leave for her own wellbeing. In her return, she's become twice the warrior she used to be and her skills surviving on her own have served her and the clan well, and since then; neither loyalty has wavered.
She and Ridgeback tried again to be parents, and had one kit together, Lionpaw.
