Jasper has a very optimistic outlook on life. Nothing really gets him down unless it is truly dire or disheartening. He is very outgoing and loves making friends and meeting new people. "The Dragon", on the other hand, is cunning, malicious and cocky. He will do whatever he can to remain true to his title of "The Eternal One", even if it means taking Jasper's body and mind from him to do it.

A Snowy Home

Jasper was born in a snowy village in Switzerland. His parents had vanished from sight and mind when he was only a few weeks old, leaving his grandma to care for him in their place.

The town around Jasper had noticed his pure white hair and bright blue eyes, and thought it a sign of their god being reborn into the body of a mortal, as fated long ago. Many were distant to Jasper, especially children his age.

Growing up, Jasper learned that his parents were adventurers and he adored the thought of one day going on his own adventures. Little did he know how close that would be to coming true.

The Cold Journey

When Jasper turned 11, his village had tasked him to make a journey to an ancient cave, said to be the home of the dragon that watched over them. He was told retrieve a magic book the dragon had kept. He was instructed that under no cirsumstances was he to open the book. Jasper had no choice but to retrieve the book, gathering his things to make the journey.

The expedition was cold and brutal, despite how bundled Jasper was. As a child, it wasn't fair to send him on such a quest, but he wanted to prove to the village that he wasn't to be judged based solely on his looks. He made it to the cave, seeing nothing within besides the book, which held a strange glow. Curiosity got the better of Jasper, as he opened the book and felt a rush of cold air leave it. The glow faded as he snapped the book shut and quickly made the trek back down the mount to the village.

Jasper made it back into the village, people happy he returned with what he was asked to grab. When he handed the book over, they had discovered its pages to be blank, which confused them. He was asked if he opened the book at all. He denied it, even though the answer was obvious to the townsfolk. Jasper went home, dropping his things and curling up in bed that night.

Fleeing the Village

Jasper was unable to rest easy at all that night, something inside him keeping him away. Was it anxiety? What was the village going to do with him and the book now that he had opened when specifically told not to?? He didn't have much time to think, as his grandma had come into the room to see him absolutely trembling. She had a travelling bag made up for him, as well as the book the head of village had asked him to retrieve. He was confused as he sat up. She told him to take the book and run as fast as he could away from the village. A family friend was to meet him near the foot of the mountain and have him flee the country. Jasper was confused but listened to his grandma, getting out of bed and bundling up once more. He gave her one last big hug as he stuffed the book into his bag and put it on.

Jasper snuck out of his home, as to not alert anyone else who might have been awake and around. Afterwards, he ran as fast as he could down the commonly used path down the mountain. As he ran, he felt this need to go back. To stay with his grandma. He ignored these feelings, continuing to run and run. However, as he was nearing where he was supposed to meet the family friend, he found himself taking a tumble, pain aching all over. What was going on?? He could barely get a thought in as claws broke through his nails and ripped through his gloved. He couldn't believe was he was looking at. The pain only continued as he got all itchy, scales starting to cover his body. The stress and pain eventually made everything go black.

When he woke back up, he found himself in the back of a car. He heard his name, glancing to the person who was driving. He saw this guy in a picture back at home! This was the family friend his grandma spoke about! He couldn't move much, but he was able to look down and see his winter clothes torn up a bit. He looked like he was attacked, but he didn't remember being attacked by anything... He tried his best to ignore it as he closed his eyes to continue resting.

Life After Running

After making it to the airport and flying to America, Jasper lived with this family friend for a while. They made sure he was cared for enough, but it wasn't as much as a parent or grandparent would care for a child. He mostly ended up making food for himself if it was the time. When Jasper was entering middle school after so long, he was getting into random fights and getting aggressive with other kids. It was unknown to him why this was happening, many chalking it up to him being a developing teen. He eventually was expelled from the school do to a final incident where he broke a young boy's nose. Jasper started to be homeschooled after that, but it was mostly him being stuck in his room, reading books. He never officially got the right education, lots of geographical knowledge lacking in his mind, amongst other things. He learned English pretty well though.

All during this time, Jasper was experiencing awful transformations into a draconic form, his caretaker informing him how it was because of the curse placed on the book he had open. His grandma had told them all about it through letters. Once every month, on a full moon, Jasper would change. Usually, he was docile, but there were times where he would get more agressive, namely on supermoons or blood moons. It wasn't the worst thing in the world, however. It was only once a month, after all.

When Jasper was 16, he had gotten a job at a local coffee shop to get money saved so he could move out as soon as possible, as to not burden his caretaker anymore. He managex to scrape together enough to move out and then some, as well as getting money from his grandma from said caretaker. He got an apartment for himself and thought things were going to be simple. That's when his curse started to take form as a separate entity. It spoke to him and made its intentions clear from the getgo, which was a rookie move. It called itself REDACTED and claimed itself to be eternal. The curse only got harder to handle from there for a while, but Jasper tries not to let it get him down.
