Profile
An amalgamation of spider, dragon, and wolf, Sliver is a chimera created artificially to be the ultimate predator.
Backstory:
Created in a lab alongside countless other experiments, Sliver was the first "success." Combining the power and supernaturally-powerful senses of a dragon, the agility and intelligence of a wolf, and the unprecedented speed of reproduction of a spider, the Helkite Labs thought they had the ultimate weapon. A creature driven by blood, who could reproduce by the thousands, and tear apart entire populations with brutal efficiency.
But what they didn't realize is that they made her too smart, enough so that she eventually gained a conscience while in containment. Essentially, she was about as intelligent as a person. Enough so that one of the scientists in charge of her containment also begun sympathizing with her. The scientist also begun plotting a way for her to escape, and to shutdown the lab's crimes against nature.
So on a fateful day, Sliver's usual tranquilizing collar used to subdue her just /happened/ to fail, and all of the weapons in the facility just /happened/ to be jammed or empty, and the scientist helping her just /happened/ to not be around that day, along with a few other scientists that were convinced to help. In one fell swoop, Sliver busted out of containment, slaughtering her way out of the facility, and destroying everything she could so the Helkite Labs could never continue their research.
After her escape, she was found by Rhubarb not long after, and has been living with her for the past four years.
Sliver is a cold and usually distant individual. Lacking the ability to speak due to her biology, she instead opts to write, and has a very wide vocabulary and advanced knowledge of the English language. She's a bit of a shut-in too, and spends a lot of time studying away from the others. But that doesn't mean she's mean, she's actually quite friendly towards those she trusts. In particular, she loves snuggling with her close friends and housemates, using her soft scaly underside and high body heat to keep her friends warm and cozy.
Biologically, she also retains a lot of the abilities of her constituent species:
-Her spidery legs allow her to stick to otherwise sheer surfaces, assuming her weight doesn't cause them to collapse.
-The fangs on her mandibles are loaded with a strange venom that causes the victim to become extremely susceptible to suggestion.
-She can produce webbing that is very thick and sticky enough to hold an adult human, but her saliva is acidic enough to melt the web.
-Thought to be bile, Sliver can spit a highly-flammable fluid from a strange organ in her body in a thick spray, easily ignited by sparks caused by her grating her teeth together
