Mirestar is a kind soul with a positive outlook on life. She grew up clanless, on tales from her mother's days in her old clan, and based on those stories founded her own tight-knit clan family, taking in all sorts of strange cats that were otherwise lost or abandoned and creating a strong clan with a powerful sense of right and wrong. She comes across as easy to manipulate, but she shouldn't be underestimated...
She is devoted, passionate, and optimistic- though reasonably stern and not averse to putting her foot down when it is required by a trying situation. She can be a bit childish, and never really lost that sense of kit-like wonder at the world and any new thing that crosses her path. Due to her coloring, hunting can be tricky for her, and she prefers to stick to fishing as necessary. Many cats make the mistake of underestimating her, but despite her sweet exterior, if spurned or insulted, Mirestar has a slightly worrying nasty streak and can sometimes let her emotions (in this case, anger) fuel her actions which can make her potentially dangerous at times.
At the end of the day she does mean well; and is incredibly loyal to her duty and clanmates. She enjoys teaching others, is very supportive of them even if they want to break traditional rules, and will make every effort to understand that she can. She knows what its like to be alone, and she knows what it's like to feel outcasted by things entirely out of one's control. Now that she has some control over her fate, and the fate of her clan, she chooses to know when its important to change and adapt. In a world such as theirs, that may be their most valuable skill.
She may be resourceful and adaptable, and accept those who want to forge their own path and ideas but she will not tolerate threats to her clan and territory. It's probably best to stay on her good side, especially given how large and forgiving her good side is.
- Mirestar is an extremely skilled swimmer, even in great flooding and through twisting tangles. Some call her more fish than cat, at times.
Mirestar's mother was a former clan cat, fleeing when she realized she was expecting kits she found herself in the swamp that would later become home to gladeclan. Born in the swamp, Mirekit grew up hearing stories of her mother's clan life and their ways and traditions that shaped her desire to be a member of a clan herself. She originally had a few siblings, but one passed away early due to illness, and one was taken by a gator. Only Mirekit survived. She was older when she lost her mother, and decided to act upon the stories she always grew up on. Dubbing herself Mirewing and then seeking the acceptance of Starclan to know if it was her path to become a leader. Finding that acceptance, she started Gladeclan, and sought to accept any cats who don't belong elsewhere.
Her journey was spurred by her massive passion in bringing the stories her mother gave her to life, the bright shine of a family and somewhere to be protected and among others that unite to form a greater union, but it wasn't easy. Losing her family to the swamps unforgiving mire she liked to think that it was she who survived because she walked among the mire from birth, and her name made proof of her destiny to become the leader of these lands and turn it into a real territory and something more.

Louie is her closest and most trusted friend. He might not be the brightest, which is part of the reason why she relies on him so much to point her in the right direction- he's far too dumbly loyal and loving to ever consider betraying her, and if he has a problem with something she's doing it must really be a big problem. She knows she can rely on him. He was the first member of her ragtag clan and he gave her the faith that starclan really did give her leadership and her chance for a reason, just when her confidence in herself was beginning to wane.
He's always there to cheer her up and remind her of the importance of family and how just being there even when she wants to give up or feels like things are falling apart can mean the difference between devotion and betrayal. She would quickly jump to his defense if anyone were to antagonize him, though truly- he's probably the more likeable of the two.
Though he is a member of the 'clan' she doesn't suppose he counts as any real position within it, he doesn't understand their customs well enough and it just seems to confuse him. She settles for treating him like an apprentice that will never quite grow up. Teaching him always and including him the best she can.
Mangroveroot was the first warrior to join Mirestar's clan. The other she-cat often likes to annoy her leader with teasing and taunting, but the two do get along and have each other's back. Mirestar is able to see through her mask and see how weak that Mangroveroot feels beyond the surface. She's made it her mission to protect her from herself to the best of her abilities, and not only work with her to make the clan into something great, but push her friend to become stronger and more confident in what she can do on her own.
She can get protective over her, mostly because she was the first cat to truly trust and give her a chance.
Mirestar has a good trust in her to be dependable when she asks something serious of her, though she has a healthy wariness of some of her words just based on her tendency to try to trick her for a good laugh.
Floodpale was a cat that Mirestar took in when his family was killed by their barn collapsing. He quickly showed leadership and organizational skills, along with a big heart, and Mirestar quickly saw him as a good choice for her second in command. He's something of a stickler for planning and can be uptight- and certainly annoys her at times with his over-nitpicking, but she looks to him like a brother figure and they are consistently teaching each other and helping each other make better leaders and choices for the clan as a whole. Though, he doesn't realize she's learning just as much from him as he is from her.
She occasionally has to remind him of his place when he gets a little of a big head or upset about his rules not being followed, and she strives strongly to to teach him to lighten up every now and then and that things aren't always going to go to his plans. He's coming around.
Friend of her parents, and formerly in love with her mother, Mudripple was a cat from their old clan that stumbled across Gladeclan by mistake. Instantly recognizing her as her mother's daughter, he decided to stay in order to help advise her along her path to creating a new clan and being a leader. She was grateful for the older cats wisdom, for he'd been a strong warrior in his previous clan. He opted to leave mostly because he wanted a change of pace, and saw a chance to keep her parent's memories alive by telling Mirestar of them in his fond memories.
She is grateful for that closure, and for his aid. She greatly respects him and often turns to him for advice when things feel too hard for her to handle. She does note that often, she sees a sadness in his eyes as he remembers her mother.
Coastfawn is a warrior in the clan, and one that Mirestar is often dismissive of. Not because she wants to be, but because he's so softspoken and so much of a follower that he often blends in with the shadows. She generally leaves him be, and only remembers to ask him things when he directly approaches her.
She's so busy that she doesn't notice a lot, though when she does she does feel rather guilty for leaving him out by mistake.
