Shuuga (シュウガー Shuugā) is a mutated parasite that roams around Mugenri.

Name

Their name sounds very close to the Japanese pronunciation of sugar (シュガー, shugā).

Official Profile

An unusual type of artifical youkai that mutated over time.

They appear to act very sweet, but this masks their aggressively voracious nature and they will not hesitate to attack humans. Loves rotten, moldy and decaying areas and food, with their ability allowing them to impose it on other things in a variety of ways. A complete nuisance if they happen to take residence in someone else's house, as they will cause it to slowly decay over time and make any food brought in rot in a matter of hours.

Humans and other youkai would have to be exposed to Shuuga's power for a extended amount of time to even begin feeling the effects of decay on their bodies. It rarely happens since either they leave or Shuuga leaves (by force) before that point.

Likes staying in dark and damp areas, and has poor eye sight as a result of this. They absolutely hate sweet tasting food and smells.
