Name: Reina Gloxinia Iris (ray-na glow-zin-ee-ya ee-reese)
Nicknames: Rei, Little Shadow (Given by her father. It embarrasses her.)
Name Origin: “Reina” in the Yiddish language means “clean or pure,” however in Spanish the name also means “Queen.” “Gloxinia” is the name of a hardy “little red” flower similar to the flower she wears.

Likes: The light of dawn and dusk, starry night skies, exploring, hunting, tracking, dancing, stalking dragons she fancies, and competition.
Dislikes: Bitter tastes, sore losers, doing nothing at all, and confined spaces.
Personality: Reina is slightly on the shorter side when it comes to StarSweepers and as such, she feels the need to outdo her taller, Sweeper peers. She loves exploring and turning a hunt into a competition. And though she has the innate need to prove herself, she would never soil the competition for the sake of winning. If she loses, she will sulk a little, but will try much harder afterwards.

Reina has the tendency to bite off more than she can chew (both figuratively and literally). She enjoys a challenge, however she occasionally ends up in difficult situations. This proves to be a problem when she’s out by herself. Though she cannot bring herself to depend on others in her chosen line of work, she can’t stand the thought of being alone for the rest of her life. As such, she expends every effort to enjoy the festivities of Sweeper culture and often joins in on the dances and celebration. These gatherings also provide the opportunity to stalk potential lovers, which would be fantastic for her if she did not have difficulty expressing her femininity.
Relationships/History: Born on the Kabuk Main Island, she was raised by her father who taught her everything he knew about hunting and masking one’s presence. Her mother died of illness not long after her birth and so, her father took it upon himself to guarantee that she could survive on her own. When she was 5, he took her on her first hunt. At 8, she was hunting by herself. Soon after, her father focused his tutelage on her skills with the sword, as he had once learned from his father.

Though she loves and respects him, she never felt that she could measure up to his skill as she could never beat him. This feeling worsened when her father was killed in a [hunt/raid/bandit attack]. With no living family, all she has left of her father are his teachings and his sword; and of her mother, the flower she once wore, which Reina now wears.

Now at the age of 24, she has made her home in the Casian Rainforest, continuing to hone her skills with the sword and as a huntress; striving to surpass the remaining image of her beloved father.
