Chronicle is often found in the deeper depths of the ocean, tending to the wrecks of ships and remnants of forgotten civilisations. They're largely a bit of a solitary Frigate Chaser though they don't begrudge company and even seem to enjoy when creatures choose them for a companion even if temporary. They're a low-energy creature for the most part, and spend a lot of time drifting or moving slowly and lazily through the water. They really come alive when the seas get rough, however, and seeks out ships in peril. They become rather animated when they find themselves with an audience to which to tell stories and share the vast wealth of knowledge they've accumulated over it's lifetime. While this is done with the best of intentions, they do become carried away easily and have to be (hopefully) reminded that the wet, bedragled sailor they've saved from the sea could possibly do with a drying off and a warm fire before they'll be more receptive to listening to stories.

Backstory

Chronicle's story begins when it found itself drawn to a shipwreck unlike any other—a vessel that carried a library of ancient manuscripts and forgotten lore. As the ship descended into the dark abyss, Chronicle absorbed not only the echoes of the lost sailors but also the knowledge contained within the sunken library.

This fae creature became a keeper of forgotten wisdom, a living repository of the sea's stories and the accumulated knowledge of sailors long gone. Chronicle's bioluminescent glow flickers with the words of ancient poems, maps to hidden treasures, and the whispered secrets of civilizations lost to the depths.

Unlike other Frigate Chasers, Chronicle is not only compelled to rescue those who fall overboard but also to share the forgotten tales that reside within its essence. It lingers near sailors, casting an otherworldly light on the pages of their navigational charts or revealing glimpses of lost civilizations through the dance of its bioluminescence.

However, Chronicle is not without its own struggle. The burden of carrying such a profound connection to the past sometimes weighs heavily on this fae being. It seeks moments of solitude in the quiet depths, where it can reflect on the countless stories within its luminous form.
