A sleepy coastal forest town in the heart of Oregon.

Welcome to Foxwood!

Foxwood is a simple headspace town based around Tillamook, Troutdale, Fairview and Clackamus, Oregon as well as some locations in Idaho. Tillamook is its greatest inspiration, but I take inspiration from places I frequently lived/visited growing up. This worldspace is mostly for myself, but you are more than welcome to add a character if you would like! If you join, feel free to come up with a little business your character works at - I love seeing people's ideas! :) This is all just for fun, not for RPing or anything like that (but you're welcome to if you'd like!). Thanks for checking out my little brain world!

Note: Although Foxwood is based off of some places in America, my take on this world is completely different than actual Oregon, USA. Though some names are the same as the real world, the actual country and the history of the world in general is different - especially since everyone is anthro! This is a lot of info to type up and I haven't got all the details worked out yet, but felt it was important to make known.

About Foxwood

Foxwood is a small city (population roughly 16,000) established against the Pacific ocean. It is surrounded by expansive mountains and deep forests, so it's home to a wide diversity of wildlife. Most of the buildings are quite old, and there's plenty of historic locations to check out when visiting. Foxwood is best known for its summer camp programs, where they host multiple camp events for various ages and family camps at its camping grounds. It is also home to a beloved ice cream company that is sold nationwide. Tourists often flock to Foxwood in the warmer seasons, and it is a common location for a good getaway.

Foxwood may have some supernatural elements, mainly inspired by Icelandic folklore, but it won't be too based around it! The fae, elves, ghosts, forest spirits, etc. just may be present somewhere but not well-known by the general public and moreso whispers amongst those who live deeper in the woods. Foxwood isn't based around horror or the paranormal, but you can certainly have fun with coming up with cryptids and other things that may live around the area. Foxwood may be for older teenagers/adults since it will contain characters/places that mention weed/alcohol usage, but it shouldn't contain 18+ content such as NSFW or violent themes.
