Quibble is a short, and fairly inexperienced member of the species known in this realm as the ‘buzanae’, a species of bird-like mages that were brought forwards many years ago by the Queen of Dimensions, prepped and readied to do her bidding in exchange for safety for their race and all of their history. The elders agreed to such, and they were brought forth into Aswain to plan and prep for the day the Queen returned.
Quibble had been fairly young at the time when they moved, known as a runt and often discredited in his work and magic. Instead, he was delegated and taught to become a historian instead, writing and scrawling down all of the old buzanae history. At first, he had not minded, finding it fascinating and worthwhile to record all history, new and old. He would still say such as he tagged along mission after mission, helping draw out maps and record the new things they discovered. He even recorded the return of the Queen, marking it as a powerful marker for his species and all others brought forth by her.
Due to being a ‘runt’, Quibble unfortunately never quite learned magic, but he was very determined in his adulthood to learn something, prove himself as more than just a bookworm for his tribe. He built his own staff, and begun to learn and study all of the elements he came across in Aswain, practicing and learning as many spells as he could. While not incredible at it, he is at least...half competent. He’d rather learn a little more before showing a fellow buzanae, in fear of mockery or being forced to stop his lessons. He has dreams of becoming the most powerful of the buzanae, leading them to greatness and confirmed safety without relying on the Queen.
During the return of the Queen, Quibble notices how stressed and different his tribe seemed. They treated him worse than usual, even appointing him as ‘useless’ at times for his lack of any battle skills. In frustration of always being seen as a runt, or as pointless, he vows to prove them all wrong. To prove the Queen wrong. His mind is set, that she had been manipulating them all for far too long. Buzanae kind would no longer have to live in fear once Quibble proved his strength. With his notes, homemade staff, and a meal for the road, he left.

During his travels, Quibble settled down and made a miniature camp to rest. When he awoke, a human girl was digging through his things and muttering about ‘not killing something that seemed so young’. Feeling insulted due to his size, Quibble jumped in and defended himself, lying and stating he was an incredibly powerful leader of a tribe of buzanae and that she should watch herself out here in the wilderness, least creatures like him tear her apart. His lie very quickly fell apart once his head was threatened, and he quickly came clean. He was merely a historian with self taught magic, sick and tired of the force and way the Queen used his species. Introducing himself to the girl, known as Cayanka, he states that if she’s some kind of hero, she cannot possibly kill him. He’s an innocent after all, never hurt nor killed a human in his life! His pleas work, though he is very quickly scooped up to help the woman on her journey, something that Quibble is fairly quick to accept. More power to prove himself with? Perfect!
Though, he does try to get Cayanka to see things from his species side. That not every beast just wants to mindlessly hurt and kill. They were brought her from a crumbling dimension. They want peace just as much as she does.
In turn, Quibble learns more about humans. About how they deal with the world as well.
...Perhaps, just perhaps, he has made a friend. Someone who does not see him as a weak burden.

- A lot of buzanae are ok with removing their masks around others. Quibble is not. He finds it uncomfortable to do.
- Don't point out how short he is. He'll just get mad.
