Rubi Kerdox

Personality

Rubi is very withdrawn and forbidding, unsure of everyone and everything. She has aggression issues that seem to have stemmed from some past trauma but is highly empathic, caring deeply about the struggles of strangers. She is also fiercely loyal and takes promises seriously.

Abilities

Rubi is a pyrokinetic, having full command over fire, flames, plasma, and heat. She has shape-shifting abilities, generally switching between a full therian (anthro) form and a half-therian (kemonomimi) form, but is capable of other forms. She also has accelerated healing and regenerative capabilities. Rubi has the speed, agility, and enhanced senses that comes from her fox DNA, as well as sharp teeth and retractable claws in her full therian form. Rubi is also capable of levitation by unknown means.

Weaknesses

As a pyrokinetic, Rubi does not handle the cold well, but her sensitivity to the cold is higher than most. As such, she is also weak to ice and water, unless it's hot out. She is also weak to sunlight and has to avoid too much of it despite it enhancing her pyrokinesis abilities.

History

Rubi is a mysterious kitsune-like fox-therian, having powerful abilities that other therians don't have. She hails from Mars like all therians and seems to have some connection to the Chimera Elite, a ruthless special force lead by the Chimera Regime's heir, but it isn't certain what that connection is.

Trivia

• Rubi's fur coloration is based on the cherry red morph of the red fox, the fact that some red foxes don't have "socks", and the pied morph of the red fox (white fingers/toes).
• Rubi has a black-tipped tail rather than the white-tipped coloration of actual red foxes because it is a carryover from her original design as a red wolf; the white tip was attempted to be implemented but it didn't look "right" for her. Most fox-therians are not purely one species of fox anyway.
• The claws on her fingers are white/clear, whereas the claws on her toes are black; likewise, her feet have paw pads but her hands do not.
