lightning’lilac is the strong, protective but shy mate of meadow’croak and father to humming’meadow, quiet’kit, rye’kit, and chatter’kit. he’s a really sweet cat, always thinking of others and bringing random gifts to his family and friends. he shares stories with younger cats all the time, as he’s one of the older cats in pastureclan and has quite a few of them. he’s always in the nursery checking on his and meadow’s youngest kits, and he and fidget’daisy have grown to be good friends with all the time that lightning has spent in the nursery. lightning isn’t very talkative, honestly a bit afraid of social interaction outside the context of warrior duties, but he’s very loyal and would kill for his family and friends in a heartbeat.

he was originally mates with a cat named ember’lark, who would later become deputy, and together they had humming’meadow. however, ember mostly ignored humming in favor of whatever warrior duties kept her so busy all the time and eventually her deputy duties when she was promoted. lightning and ember separated because of this, and soon after became mates with meadow’croak. apprentice humming came to lightning after a patrol with ember one day with a scratch on her face from her mother. lightning prayed to starclan that they would fix this. after a moon of nothing happening about it, ember was found dead, and lightning found he wasn’t as upset as he probably should have been.

lightning’lilac’s flowers are, unsurprisingly, lilacs.
