Called by the Sea

From the beginning, it should have been obvious that Arrn was a born pirate. The youngest of four children, he was born on a stormy night and named for the very rains that fell. Arrn's parents weren't the richest, even for drow, but their family was a happy one--until one day, only weeks after Arrn was born, his mother died. Their father worked hard to provide for the family, but growing up, Arrn lived in a cold old shack and often had to steal to get by. One fateful day when Arrn was young, he left for the docks to take supplies from cargo ships. It was there he ran into a sailor--a pirate known as the Stormwind--who, despite his gruffness, saw potential in the young elf. Arrn saw a way of getting out of the squalor in which he lived, and, without a second thought or a backwards glance, abandoned his home and his family for the sea. The captain took the boy under his wing, training him in the ways of swashbuckling.

Arrn came of age on the decks of the pirate's ship, learning all one would need to know about the sea. When the old rogue died in battle, Arrn was his natural successor and took his place as captain... for a while. In the eyes of the crew, Arrn was too young; too inexperienced to truly be the Stormwind. There was a mutiny, and although Arrn and his allies fought valiantly, it was in vain. They were booted off the ship, and the second in command, one Arrn thought he could trust, was put in place as the new captain of the Night Breeze.

Now, Arrn is landlocked, with nothing but the equipment he carries and the bit of gold he's managed to scrape up from odd jobs. His quest is to reclaim his crew, his ship, and his very name.

Far from the skittish youth he once was, Arrn is confident, charming, cunning, and over-the-top. He's a rogue you don't want to let out of your sight.... unless you want to end up in trouble. "Arrn" is his childhood name and only used by those close to him; to everyone else, he wants to be known as "Stormwind," even if he does not currently technically hold the title. His last name, Selas, is known to only him.
